Shield of Destiny

In a world governed by six elemental powers, where no one can wield more than two without succumbing to destruction, balance has been the key to survival. But balance is fragile, and chaos is rising. Among the seven ancient families who once protected the world, a prophecy whispers of a Chosen One, a child born with the potential to wield all six powers. Yet this prophecy also brings a shadow—a fear that such power could either save the world or destroy it. The youngest heir of the seven families, a ten-year-old boy, lives unaware of his destiny. Like his six friends, he believes he can wield only two powers, unaware that his extraordinary spiritual strength has already begun to unlock something far greater. His parents and elders, haunted by the prophecy, recognize his unique gift—a bloodline so strong that it could awaken powers beyond comprehension. Their awe is matched by their fear: his potential could make him a savior, or the very force that plunges the world into chaos. When rival magical families, driven by greed and ambition, learn of the boy’s existence, they launch a devastating attack on the seven families, aiming to capture him and exploit his untapped potential. The elders, realizing the magnitude of the threat, make the ultimate sacrifice to protect their descendants. In a desperate act of magic, they send the heirs of each family—including the youngest—to a secret sanctuary, shielding them from the world while ensuring they can train and grow strong. Years pass, and the heirs, now young adults, must emerge from their hidden refuge to confront the chaos overtaking their world. The youngest, still unaware of his true potential, discovers the truth of his lineage and the prophecy that foretells his role as the Chosen One. But the journey ahead is fraught with peril. His ability to wield all six powers defies the natural order, and his spiritual strength makes him a target for those who would manipulate him—or destroy him. Guided by his six companions—four boys and three girls, each carrying their own family’s legacy—the Chosen One must navigate a world on the brink of collapse, uncover the secrets of his powers, and face the terrifying truth of his destiny. Will he restore balance, or will his existence bring the chaos he was born to prevent? In a tale of friendship, sacrifice, and the burden of unimaginable power, The Legacy of Seven explores the fine line between savior and destroyer, and the choices that define a hero.

Circumventing Fate

When Lei Xing booked a luxurious cruise as a graduation present to herself, she expected to have plenty of well-deserved rest and relaxation with an ocean view before jumpstarting her career. What she did not expect was to be the unlucky person who would fall overboard to a miserable watery death… or so she thought. To her astonishment, she opened her eyes to find herself in an ancient setting, a different body, and a new life as the eldest daughter of a high court official. {...Okay, at least I'm rich...I can still live happily and freely, it's still a golden opportunity at a second life. I can live it well~...maybe go travelling, start a business, or something…It definitely could be worse...} To Lei Xing’s horror, her new host was scheduled to enter the palace to compete in the concubine selection for the new Emperor. {...What?! I am definitely not interested! Of all places, it’s that viper pit! I’m not built for any Royal BS or harem fights. Please keep your scheming lives to yourselves and leave me the hell out of it, NOT INTERESTED!!!... Can I not go, please? T_T)...No? Nevermind then, failure is always an option... Failure is the only possible outcome. Bring it on! Hahahaha…} While Lei Xing was making plans on how to skip out of town, fate was also very busy working out its own plans for her, mapping out its own course for her life behind the scenes... Poking holes in her plans to her confusion and outrage. "...Little chicken, as long as I'm alive you won't die." "Nonsense, if anyone is going to cause my death, it would be you!!" *** "Do you really feel nothing after all this time?" He asked as he looked at her with searching eyes, trying to see into her soul... Fate Of A Hero

Somehow, I don't know how for sure, though, I've been sent to the world of my favorite game, Skyrim. The longer I'm here, the more I notice that this world is real. Not simply realistic, but real. Everything I do has an effect on the world, either good or bad, especially in the case with the storylines. I love Skyrim, but I'm not going to be able to survive here, right? How do I get out? Getting out isn't even the beginning of my problems. The longer I stay here, the more I realize – things are different, and not necessarily for the better. -------------- As embarrassing as this is, this is a Skyrim fanfic. It's probably permanently in progress, as I'm mainly just using it as a drawing board to practice writing storylines for games. Writing it out is just a fun way I've got for going about it. I've also written this in a style so that people who haven't played any of the Elder Scrolls series of games can read it as well. I warn you, though, there's a *lot* of words. Side note: I've also got this story on other sites/apps, in case you want to read it there. -------------- This is also a challenge to That Guy Right There. This is a combination of how I would write the fanfic you made, along with the fact that I got tired of waiting for the author, That Guy Right There, to finish his story, "Living Skyrim." It's pretty good, y'all should check it out. However, Guy's mc is an asshole, so I warn you now. The puns he makes are also kinda bad. So I challenge you, Guy. I'm gonna write my version of how it'd go, and you finish yours (unless you died.) This is a direct copy from my work on my other accounts on various reading/writing apps. Check that one out, too. It doesn't matter to me which you support, cuz I'm not monetized by any. I'm just the writer, man.
