Eriol the Wise is revered as the first Archmage Supreme of Nefaria, a position that would become synonymous with magical excellence and leadership. Born over 800 years ago, Eriol was a prodigious talent, demonstrating an uncanny affinity for magic from a young age.
Eriol's meteoric rise through the ranks of Nefaria's magical hierarchy was marked by groundbreaking discoveries and innovative spellcraft. His pioneering work in the field of arcane magic laid the foundation for Nefaria's eventual dominance in magical pursuits.
As the first Archmage Supreme, Eriol established the Council of Mages, a governing body that would oversee the development and regulation of magic within Nefaria. He also founded the prestigious Wysteria Academy of Magic, which would become a bastion of magical learning and excellence.
Near the end of his life, Eriol embarked on a final, ambitious project. Using a mysterious and ancient form of magic, he condensed his vast knowledge and experience into a small, glowing bead. This bead, known as the "Echo of Eriol," contained the distilled essence of his wisdom, waiting to be passed on to a worthy successor.
Eriol entrusted the Echo to his most promising apprentice, a young mage named Thalyssra. With his final breath, Eriol instructed Thalyssra to consume the bead, ensuring that his knowledge would live on. Thalyssra, driven by a sense of duty and curiosity, ingested the Echo.

Throughout the centuries, the symbiote, known as the "Eriolian Echo," has searched for worthy hosts, bonding with those who demonstrate the potential to wield Eriol's knowledge wisely. Those who host the Echo are granted unparalleled magical insight, allowing them to unlock new heights of power and understanding.
