The year is 10,599 on Kepler-452b; 1800 light-years from a nearly dead Earth. But the migration came with a cost. Exposure to dark energy from a cosmic singularity has granted some people unimaginable power, at a deadly price. For every force, there is an equal and opposite reaction, and power of this magnitude demands blood.
Athila was just another Standard, ordinary, weak. Until she saw her mother, alive and well, five years after her death. Now, she is something else. A Singularity.
Singularities don’t get to live freely. If discovered, she will face The Reckoning, a brutal series of trials meant to kill the unworthy and turn the survivors into weapons for those in power. In this world, morality is a weakness, and Athila is willing to drown in blood to protect the people she loves.
