Josal wakes in chains, bound at the top of the Acinet Abomination, a towering prison built by forgotten gods, where light has not touched for centuries. Trapped in a cold, unyielding cell high above a world he can barely remember, he is left with nothing but his shattered past and an overpowering thirst for freedom. His memories are fragmented, but a creeping awareness begins to form—he is not the first to be imprisoned here, and he will not be the last.
The tower itself is alive, a dark, monstrous thing of stone and ancient machinery, and its halls are twisted, crawling with eerie remnants of those who once sought power or salvation and now rot in silence. Josal’s only companion is the voice of an unknown entity that whispers to him in the dark—a voice full of both malice and pity.
As the days blur together, Josal uncovers fragments of forgotten truths—about the gods who created the tower, about the horrors lurking within, and the horrific reason he was brought here in the first place. His chains are more than physical—they are tied to a past he can’t escape, a destiny intertwined with the very horrors that bind him. Yet every secret he uncovers brings him closer to an undeniable truth: the tower is not just a prison. It is a test.
To survive, he must confront the twisted relics of the past, face the agonizing trials left in the wake of long-dead gods, and, ultimately, find a way to escape the tower's grasp before it consumes him entirely. But as Josal begins to piece together the clues of his captivity, he finds that the true enemy may not be the gods who created the tower... but the darkness that festers within himself
