Millennia ago, Caelestella, the God of Salvation, relinquished his immortal essence to protect mortals from encroaching darkness. His sacrifice, however noble, left a lingering imbalance in the celestial realms, stirring discord among the divine. As the weaker deities turned to mortals for aid, a rift formed among the pantheon. Some sought solace in seclusion, coveting their waning powers and plotting in the shadows. In the heart of Alatheia, where mortal and divine intertwined, the empress held a delicate peace amidst whispers of divine discord and mortal destiny.
The narrative centres on Astar, a 17-year-old protagonist emerging from years of seclusion. His encounter with Haruki, a potent young mage, catalyzes his reentry into the wider world. United with Haruki and fellow magic wielders, Astar is enlisted by the empress for a taxing quest—to locate the remnants of a lost Deity.
Yet, their pursuit is challenged by a faction of dark mages harbouring malevolent intentions for the same Deity. Amidst this perilous journey, Astar grapples with self-discovery, recognizing latent abilities and his potential role as a key between mortal and divine realms. Moreover, he contends with internal conflicts, questioning his value within the group and confronting burgeoning romantic sentiments for Haruki that stir within him.
