DESTINY GAMES

DESTINY GAMES. It has been 85 years since Earth-11 became aligned with Yggdrasil and 73 years since Icon became the first demigod from Earth. Icon, as the first demigod, was privileged to weave the thread of fate for everyone. He was supposed to cut off Yggdrasil and free Earth-11 from the grasps of the other Earths and their god kings. That's why everyone helped him climb the tower of Destiny. But instead of ridding earth of Yggdrasil, he turned the destiny of mankind into seven rings of immortality.  The first ring was for the immortality of power. The second was for the immortality of the knowledge. The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth were for the immortality of the mind, energy, body, and soul. The last ring, the ring of the paragon, was made to rule them all.  Icon kept the ring of the paragon for himself and became a dictator. He ruled with an iron fist for many years. His was a reign of terror. But he was eventually vanquished by the collective effort of the world.  It has been 62 years since then. Icon is no more, but the damage he had done still remains. Earth-11 is still connected to Yggdrasil. The deadly games of the Tower of Destiny still remain, and the fight for the seven rings of immortality still continues.  Kelvin Thorn has just awakened his ability. It came at a good time too since he is running for his life. The ability he awakened saved him, but it came with a cost. He must climb the tower of destiny under the witness of the whole world and accumulate destiny, or he will die.  His situation is not unique. Everyone that awakens, which is mostly everyone, must climb the tower of destiny. It is one of the curses that Icon left behind before he died. But Thorn is different because the seventh ring found him.  The tower of destiny is where everyone granted power by destiny, be they humans, non-humans, or otherworlders, must fight in games of might, skill, and knowledge to gather the power of destiny. They will either die or eventually overcome death. Kelvin will be one of the latest in the line of billions of others in this struggle. Aren't VR games way too hard?

This wasn't my first VR game, but as always, I sucked. My favorite kind of ways to play was a meaty mage with high damage and favorably both high MP and HP regeneration. But while I tried to create this type of Avatar, l had no luck yet again. This game was way too hard! It was also almost impossible to level up like this and I died countless times. Also...I was basically an social inept and unble to perform well in a party or any other kind of group. I had too less talent to get stronger as fast as other players and the painfully low possibilities of my potential often sent me to the brink of my inner abyss. Still, I loved playing this game and kept on playing anyway. Until one day, my peace and serenity were broken by the undercurrents and remnants of political struggle in the city I resided. Forced to join the ruthless leader of the black market I had to let go of everything that hindered me to grow stronger. To find my oppressors who bullied, stole from me and made me wish to leave this game behind. On my way to revenge, my class was upgraded to a branch class of mage, - illusionist. Fit for my style of madness and an concealed weapon against my enemies. And this made me let loose of anything reining myself back. - "So, you said you were an illusionist. Do you already know what your class is able to do or shall I explain it to you?" The class instructor asked. "I can make weak hallucinations and cute phantasms." "..." he held the bridge of his nose. "You got to choose between scary and cute phantasms and chose cute? What the hell is wrong with you????" "te-he..." I tried to scratch my head cutely. "Don't te-he me, you imbecile!" he roared. "How the hell should I be your instructor when you can't even choose the basic skills that are suitable for fighting?!" "But the big wolf found the phantasm cute and was tamed." I smiled and showed him the hide of a deer I had placed in my inventory. "He even started hunting for me until I had enough and ran away." "..." The instructor was left speechless. Why did he have to babysit such a useless revenant? Couldn't he at least have someone with a bit more smartness? Why did he have to take care of this dorky mage?????? Update schedule: 1 - 2 Chapters every week

A spy's life is a lie

I had always thought that life and I were best friends, that luck would always be on my side, that I was the epitome of perfection itself but little did naive, little me know. Life is unfair, luck can be bad and perfection is easily shattered but I payed for it, I learned that information the hard and cruel way. Life betrayed me and took away my parents, perfection turned on me and disappeared before my eyes and luck? My luck went from bad to worse to worst. Have you ever had people in your life that stand by you, support you and give you good advice? If you have then you understand that those people become incredibly important people in your life that it's like they've become melded in you, they become part of your personality, your rock and you begin to admire them and believe that you would have never achieved what you have if not for them. You place them on a pedestal in your head, one far higher than yourself. Now imagine that those people turn their backs on you and betray you and you find out that all their "good" advice were just merely the worst possible advice one could ever receive wrapped up in a pretty pink ribbon. You find out that they are two faced snakes who came into your life just to deceive and destroy. The pain from that is simply indescribable, like if you were on top of a building and it begins crumbles from the ground up sending you falling down but this time instead of falling to your death, you fall down a dark well and begin to wonder a dark path of depression, guilt, self hate and depreciation and regret and I promise you that is a fate far worse than death. I loved watching Spy movies as a kid, I'd even dream about them. I always thought it looked so cool seeing the main character fly through the air and do awesome tricks and defeat the bad guy but everyone else around me disagreed. They all said that spies were bad people and were never to be trusted but I didn't listen, I only trusted what I knew. But when my childhood dream that became my reality was handed to me on a silver platter, I finally understood that all that glitters is not gold. The main character always loses everyone and everything and ends up alone and being a spy is far from the fantasy I'd imagined. A spy's life is nothing but a big lie and false documents made to deceive, infiltrate and annihilate the lives of others. I give you three pieces of advice to carry with you on this damned journey called life. Never, ever under no circumstances must you ever trust a spy they are wolves in sheep's clothing. TRUST NO ONE. Keep a good eye on your pillars, attack before they can make their move. Everything comes with a price some as just more horrid that others. ***** Author here, I hope you enjoyed reading the synopsis, it was really fun to write but for more elaboration; This story is about the adventures of Andrea and her three best friends but it focuses more on Andrea, as she's the main charcter but there are some chapters whers the POV will changeand focus on her friends ot those around her. Andrea, having growing up in a loving family, finds it hard to believe that all she has grown to believe is a lie. She discovers that truly everything is not as it seems as it seems in her world of undercover spies.

Royal Games: The Villainess’s Gambit

“Why did you run away from me?” Avery’s breath caught in her throat. That voice—it was familiar. She looked up, her heart pounding, her eyes narrowing as her mind pieced it together. With shaking hands, she reached up and pulled the mask from his face. Prince Adrian’s sharp features were illuminated in the soft glow of the moonlight. His expression was unreadable, but his intense gaze bore into her, searching for answers. Avery gasped, taking a step back. “Prince Adrian…” she stammered. “I—” “You ran,” he interrupted softly, his voice calm but filled with an undercurrent of emotion she hadn’t expected. “You rejected me and fled. Why?” Avery looked into his eyes, her mind racing. The prince, the very same character she had written to be cold, calculating, and utterly uninterested in Celeste, was now standing before her, asking why she had run away from him. Her thoughts were in chaos. None of this made sense. How could he feel this way about her? Celeste was never meant to be his choice. It was supposed to be Evelisse. *** After the successful debut of her bestselling book, Avery Clarke faced a tragic death that transmigrated her into one of the characters of her book. Was she the protagonist or the heroine of the novel? Hell, no. Avery was none other than the villainess, Lady Celeste Duvernay. However, there’s a twist. Prince Adrian, who was supposed to marry the love of his life, Evelisse while Celeste suffered them, broke off his engagement with Evelisse and announced his proposal to marry Celeste instead.  Avery didn’t want to accept that fate but she had no choice, the game of royalty was so strong to escape. With a new resolution, Avery made her own choice… she would marry prince Adrian but what was her goal… to make him hate her like he did in the book and reconcile with his betrothed love, Evelisse.
