The Boy from The Badlands
Abel, known colloquially in Ayaha as the Spectre, spends the majority of his time patrolling the Badlands hunting monsters. When he appears to Alonso Orson, a good friend and Guildmaster of the Yesteryear Guild, and practically begs him to raise a child Alonso is unable to deny it.
With no name, no parents, and no known origin to speak of, the child is a mystery. Still, the Orsons raise the child like he was their own, and stick to the promise Alonso made Abel: “Raise him strong, raise him homourable.”
The Orsons decided to formally adopt the child, ordaining him with their family name. Dara Orson was raised with a Demigod Guildmaster as a father, a kindhearted baker as his mother, and the Yesteryear Guild as an extended family. Strength was practically a given, and honour was drilled into him.
Only Abel knows the origins of Dara’s birth, the reason for his inadequacy with magic, and the latent power that rested within him.
Follow Dara as he grows, learns, fights, travels, and writes a legend to rival that of the Spectre’s.
