STORMS OF LOVE
Riya had always been passionate about her work. For the last three years, she had been happily settled in the marketing department of her company’s Mumbai office. The bustling city, her cozy apartment, and her close circle of friends made life perfect—at least, that’s what she thought.
One ordinary Monday morning, everything changed. A sudden email from HR popped up on her screen:
Subject: Office Transfer Notification
Dear Riya,
Due to company restructuring, you are being transferred to the Jaipur branch effective next week.
Riya blinked in disbelief. Jaipur? She had never even visited the city before, and the thought of leaving Mumbai unsettled her deeply.
That evening, while packing a few essentials, her mind raced with questions. What about her friends? What about her life here? And most importantly, what awaited her in Jaipur?
The day she arrived at the Jaipur office, the atmosphere was entirely different—quieter, slower, yet with a charm she couldn’t quite put her finger on. As she walked through the corridors, she noticed a tall figure near the coffee machine.
“Hey, you must be the new transfer,” he said with a warm smile. “I’m Arjun, the team lead here. Need any help settling in?”
Riya smiled back, feeling a strange flutter in her chest. Maybe this change wasn’t so bad after all.
