Raven Guardian
Gin, a pickpocket, decides to follow a man with a valuable ring on his finger during a foggy night in the city of Whions. However, the man catches Gin and casts a spell that causes him to become disoriented and lose consciousness. When Gin wakes up, he finds the ring on the street and takes it with him. The man realizes his ring is missing and summons a shadow in the shape of a crow to find it. The crow follows Gin, who is unaware of its presence.
