Muted Serendipity
"Kings, when they invaded a land they would ruin it and render the honor of its people humbled," his words slipped through the chambers of my memory, a whispered refrain that stirred nostalgia within me. How it truly rings true across the world or even across the universe.
My world was once a canvas of wonder, where sunshine kissed the earth and rainbows danced in the sky. His world, however, was painted in a crimson hues of blood and draped in the ashen cloak of despair. Yet, in the innocence of my existence, I failed to grasp the chasm that separated us, oblivious to the fact that while we stood at the same land, our feet tread upon different paths. Beneath the same expansive sky, our gazes locked in opposing directions, inhaling the same air yet exhaling contrasting essences.
In the northern reaches, I found solace amidst familiar landscapes, while you, a denizen of distant southern shores, navigated a world unknown, worlds apart yet intricately connected by destiny.
His dark hair cascades like the midnight sky, each strand woven delicately. His eyes, clear and bright, rival the radiance of the sun, casting their warmth upon the world. His complexion, kissed by the sun itself. And yet, amidst these wonders, his round ears stand as a reminder of our inherent differences – he, a child of humanity, and I, an inhabitant of the elven realm.
He was a sorcerer with his words, weaving enchantments that ensnared my very soul, captivating me in a love so deep, so profound, that it consumed me entirely. Forever bewitched by his spell.
"Dear beloved, I've called out to you often, yet my cries have fallen upon deaf ears," the echoes of it reverberated within the depths of my heart.
"Dear beloved, I've glimpsed you in the shadows of my dreams, but you have not seen me," a silent plea whispered into the void, unanswered and unacknowledged.
"Dear beloved...," my soul whispers into the abyss, a plea carried by the echoes of a love that transcends the constraints of reality.
