But as he progresses he discovers the underlying narrative for his misfortune and torture which is related to the secret of an unknown entity who for some reason loathes his mere existence. P/S the prologue and the starting chapters are a bit graphic but the tone of the overall story is only slightly dark. ( It is not angst)
