Anime Rejection Regret

Rejected by Aether

In a world where Aether decides strength and destiny, humanity has been branded as "The Rejected"—a fragile species, struggling to survive in a land dominated by powerful Beasts and arrogant Greater Ones. For humans, every ounce of strength comes at an impossible cost, and only those who survive the perilous Awakening ritual can hope to harness the energy that shapes their world. Among the young initiates is Arun, a boy reborn with memories of a past life—a life in a modern, structured world that was lost to a catastrophic end. With a sharp mind, Arun has transformed his isolated tribe with inventions and ideas far beyond their understanding. Yet, when the strange dark-gray energy inside him begins to stir and the dangers outside the valley grow closer, he realizes that innovation alone won't protect his loved ones. Arun takes the risk of Awakening, stepping into a trial that could claim his life. What he gains, however, is far more than anyone could have imagined. As the violent energy of the Beast Core intertwines with the dark force within him, Arun discovers not only incredible power but also the ability to pierce the veil between worlds. The energy that sets him apart becomes a bridge, allowing him to traverse back and forth between the primitive, Aether-fueled present and the technological ruins of his past life. But the answers Arun seeks come with their own burdens. In his old world, he uncovers remnants of a lost civilization and the key to the catastrophe that ended it. In his new world, he must forge an empire to stand against Beasts, Greater Ones, and the hidden truths of Aether itself. As Arun's power grows, so does the mystery surrounding him. Why was humanity rejected by Aether? What is the origin of the strange energy shielding him? And, most importantly, is he the savior of humanity—or its most dangerous threat? Caught between two worlds, Arun sets out to defy fate, build a legacy, and uncover the secrets of existence itself. But as the threads of his destiny unravel, one thing becomes clear: the greatest battles are yet to come, and they will be fought not just with strength, but with the courage to challenge the impossible.

"DEADLY ANIME ADDICTION"

A Few Warnings for the Reader: This short novel is written for people who appreciate Japanese anime – a worldwide community numbering in the hundreds of millions. It's important to understand from the start that anime is not just "children's cartoons," as animation is often perceived in places like Europe and the USA. Anime represents a distinct form of animation and a significant cultural force, almost like "super-cinema." It can be incredibly dynamic and explore serious themes. Now, let's be honest, a large portion of anime is… not great. Maybe around 90% could be considered simply "okay" or even, let's say, "trashy." It can be blatant, silly, and not particularly engaging. Many viewers watch one of these less impressive shows and then assume all anime is similar. But that's a mistake! Understand this: by doing that, you're missing out on potentially the most captivating entertainment of your life. That's not an exaggeration – it's a genuine perspective. But the remaining 10%? That's where the true "super-cinema" lies. Good anime is unmatched in its ability to tell emotionally resonant stories and deliver dynamic action. Anime creators are free to push boundaries. Their imaginations delve into the complexities of the human heart, challenging the common "European view" that restricts animation to children. This story(it's not a Fanfiction!) is a tribute to a classic anime called "Fate." Fate is not my personal absolute favorite – there are masterpieces which incredibly hard to surpass. But still, it's a powerful example of the story started as a simple eroge and converted to a deeply emotional cult film.
