Regal Maneuver
Thyme, the first son of the Grand Duke, finds a letter from the capital's palace asking for his arrival to the capital. Thyme was raised by countryside women, as he was left to rot with his deceased mother by him in the past. However, he once again is chosen by the Duke to become his heir due to the ill health of the Duke, indicating death. He had other heirs to give away his position, but he doubted if they were suitable candidates.
But after knowing about the past, which was kept unrevealed to him, Thyme couldn't decide whether to go to the capital or stay with the loved ones. However, fate made the decision easy for him. An unexpected fire killed those who raised him all those years and left only one option. For him to go to the capital.
However, the Duke couldn't supervise his son for longer and died in just three years. Thus he was left alone in a place full of enemies. However as time passed, he slowly became a tough competitor and being the first son, he was most likely to get the position of the Duke. Thus, the other candidates for the Duke's position tried every method to get rid of him.
One month before the day of selection,he was poisoned and his cold body was flown down in the river.
However when they were celebrating the death of the enemy, a new ruler born to rule was taking shape.
