Clay was one of the individuals who got addicted in playing it. He was a shut-in who worked as a digital artist, creating digital covers and illustration for writers. Secretly, he had been trying to create a novel of his own, alas six years had already passed and he had failed to create a single story as he find that they always ended up becoming similar to every novel of the writers he made an art commission to. Just as he passed the final level of the game, and just when he finally had an idea for his novel, the world suddenly had undergone a great change. Earth one day fused together with the game, turning every single day into a horrifying nightmare. Everyone was in chaos, except Clay. Instead of finding this change horrifying, he found this exciting and even recieved a privilege from the game itself. [Congratulations for completing the first test of the game! As a reward, everyone who had passed the game will get a chance to pick their reward!] [There are only two options, so choose wisely!] [1. Get a buff and a special Grade 1 Level artifact] [2. Asher also employs unique formatting techniques, including italics to indicate Hannah’s recorded voice and symbols representing the “stop”, “pause”, and “play” functions of the cassette player. These symbols also indicate a switch in narrative point of view. Other literary devices to teach along with this novel include foil, tragic flaw, foreshadowing, irony, figurative language, and deus ex machina.
