I wanted to take a moment to explain more about what would be expected from this book. The main character is (possibly guessed from the cover) not a good guy. He and his sister are both villains, so there will be many dark themes throughout the book. If you're the type of person to love a villain story- or just batshit crazy MC's, you'll be glad to know that's the type of story I intend to write. There won't be any romance (at least for the time being), so I'll instead be focusing on the other aspects of the story, such as combat, leveling, kingdom building, and- of course- the carnage. He gets told that an old man is coming to adopt him soon and Adam can't help but refuse to elaborate...not after he exposes that criminal, Will. And so he seeks out evidence and manages to gather proof which he presents to the orphanage, eventually regaining his good reputation among his fellow kids. As Mother decides what course of action to take next, Will dissapears the evening before Adam's adoption. The old man arrives and Adam, desiring to catch Will, agrees to leave the orphanage and live with the grandpa despite his initial protest. And so, Adam's life changes drastically after he gets forced to uncover the secrets of his family's lineage after he hears that his brother, who had been taken by scientists when they were young, is actually in the military where a supernatural being had broken out of its seal...and that Will was also involved in that occurrence. Adam gets thrown into a world of martial arts and unnatural abilities, which shall aid him in the future.
