Trial Competition

Ascendant's Will: Trials of the High Continent

Ethan never imagined his life would change because of a sudden tear in reality—what people now call the Bubble Fracture. It brought chaos, death, and unimaginable powers as portals connected Earth to realms beyond. These realms, or bubbles, became both a threat and a source of opportunity as they unleashed Mana, awakening hidden abilities in humanity. And in the midst of this upheaval, Ethan found himself chosen for something far more significant. Transmigrated to a place known as the High Continent, Ethan discovers he is not alone. Thousands of others from Earth and various realms have been brought to this strange land, forced to participate in a conquest for supremacy among powerful Lords and their talents. But unlike others, whose talents are fixed, Ethan's power—the Ascendant's Gift—evolves, growing as he learns to master the intricacies of S-Energy, a mysterious force that holds the balance of all worlds. As Ethan navigates political intrigue, forges alliances, and uncovers the secrets behind the Bubble Fracture, he must also battle other Lords, creatures from neighboring realms, and face betrayal from those closest to him. With each victory, his power grows, but so do the stakes—for every realm is seeking to consume the others, to dominate and expand until only the strongest remain. In a reality where the worlds themselves awaken and interact, Ethan will have to master the delicate balance of S-Energy to stabilize his home and transcend the fractured bubbles before everything—and everyone he cares about—is lost to the chaos of conquest. But the journey is long, and as Ethan rises to power, he finds himself facing not only external threats but also the burden of leadership, the weight of alliances, and the allure of unimaginable power. As realms collide, Ethan must decide whether he will use his power to dominate or to bring about a new era of unity. Will Ethan emerge victorious, or will the bubbles collapse and shatter, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake?

the bronze trial: rise of the forgotten

Synopsis: The Shattered Seal As Sylas delves deeper into the Trial’s labyrinthine challenges, he discovers fragments of a forgotten war—a conflict waged by godlike beings whose actions reshaped the world. Each victory in the Trial grants him power, but it also reveals haunting visions of a great seal, created to imprison an unspeakable force. In one of the most suspenseful moments, Sylas stumbles upon a temple hidden within the jungle, its entrance guarded by cryptic statues carved from obsidian. Inside, he finds a room lined with glowing symbols, their light casting eerie shadows. At the center of the room lies a fractured seal, its edges radiating chaotic energy. The whispers in his mind grow louder, their once-guiding tone now filled with panic: “Do not touch it! The seal must hold!” But before Sylas can act, a shadowy figure emerges from the seal’s fragmented core. The being exudes an overwhelming aura of darkness, its form shifting and unstable. It speaks in a voice that reverberates through the temple: “You have come far, mortal… but your meddling has set me free.” The walls tremble as the figure begins to manifest fully, the energy from the broken seal threatening to consume everything around it. Sylas must decide whether to flee and warn others of the seal’s collapse or stand his ground against an ancient force beyond his understanding. As the chapter ends, Sylas raises his sword, the mark on his hand blazing with newfound intensity. He knows this battle is unlike any he has faced before—and losing could mean the end of the world.

I would like to firstly say that this is my first time writing, so don't expect everything to be perfect for a while. 2. This story is a slow/fast-paced reading. It'll have a mix of both. Some chapters will feel slower because it is, and others will feel faster because it is. 3. It does have romance in it and I wasn't sure to add cultivation because it's more like meditation and like ki gathering and things. However, after going through my thoughts, it was basically the same thing, so I just did it. 4. It's a little all over the place for I'd say the first 6–8 chapters maybe more? But It'll will slowly come together, hopefully… 5. If you do enjoy this, make sure to give it a review and ask other people to read! 6. If there are any questions at all, ask in the comments, and I'll be answering questions every 10 chapters. 7. So update to the list above ^ Romance has been removed due to it taking the first slot and having it show up primarily (I think primarily) as romance and not showing the others before you click on the actual book. It'll still have romance, so don't worry. Nothing will change 8. I would also like to clarify that this is an original work by me, and the clothes i decided to use for the characters, "hanfu" mainly, I do not mean any disrespect to anyone by using it as a novel that is made within america if anyone thought anything like that. I'm simply doing it because i like the design and i think they look extremely cool and also beautiful to me. So again i don't mean any disrespect if im wording any of it wrong. I just really like them.
