How A Hunter Turned Into An Assassin
(Warning: Story contains intense Boss fights, gore, and sexual content)
In the tumultuous era of post apocalyptic feudal Japan, amidst warring factions and shadowy intrigues, a village named Kuroyama is obliterated by the ruthless Commander Takeda, whose soul has been corrupted by the ancient rot of Shikorin, one of the seven heads of the primordial dragon Ryujin. Kenshiro, the lone survivor from Kuroyama, swears vengeance, but his path soon reveals a much darker, more insidious enemy.
Kenshiro, alongside other survivors from different tribes—are taken in by Master Hideo and Lady Aiko, an elderly couple with deep knowledge of ancient lore and deadly combat. Under their tutelage, the group transforms into a formidable band of assassins, each driven by a personal vendetta against Takeda and the rot that consumed their lives.
Their journey takes them through this post apocalyptic land of rot and decay, and twisted by corruption, where monstrous creatures and disciples of Shikorin spread decay and death. Kenshiro discovers the power to touch the shadows of the fallen, reliving their memories, gaining their skills, and piecing together the history of Shikorin's malevolence. Each temple they raid, each artifact they get, each battle art they learn, brings them closer to the artifacts needed to breach Takeda's fortress, Paradise. And ultimately confront the ancient dragon's corrupted head.
The temples, filled with traps and guarded by embodiments of rot, test their resolve and unity. Each lore scroll they uncover reveals dark secrets and rituals necessary to purify the land and weaken Shikorin's hold. With every battle, they edge closer to the heart of the corruption.
