Ved is a boy of fourteen years. He loves to grab historical facts and figures. His intellect and presence of mind makes him more of a matured man and less of a teen. The entire story revolves around this boy. His family tries to make the most of the puja vacation. They plan a trip to several states of India. Ved is a lively character through out the story. His active spirit brightens up the plot. Ved's little brother Arjun, who is indifferent to things around him. Ved shares a special intellectual relationship with his father. His father is a knowledgeable person who enlightens his son with his words and he also has an answer to each and every question of Ved. Ved's Grandma keeps teaching her grandsons about ancient Indian practices , rituals , beliefs and their meanings and logics on the way. Ved's mother very rarely makes an appearance. The journey brings an ample surprises for Ved. He comes across extremely valuable but unknown historical characters of the Indian National Movement. The journey makes him aware of the uncelebrated and unrecognised fearless freedom fighters of India. He is completely blown away by learning the erased , undiscussed and vital Indian history. At the end of the journey, he finally gets an aim , a motive and makes a commitment to himself in this regard.
