The girlfriend is mainly used to help the MC get through the mental box and distorted feelings that the MC has to suffer through at the beginning of the novel. They had even captured a star. However, humanity was still a curious species riddled with sin, over the hundred years of development humanity learned to revolutionise war... Regalia energy increased the physical capabilities of mortals dependent on their aptitude with it. Many humans had begun to discard the need for guns as simply, they became too slow. Humanity had regressed in a way, back to killing each other face to face in bouts with swords and other weaponry.
