The Unicorn's Forest

Vol 1: The Unicorn's Forest Charlie Rivers is a 14-year old girl who is trying to get through high school without being noticed when she finds herself hearing a voice asking for help when she is only one of two who can hear it. She agrees, despite the fact the other person is someone she doesn't like. When she meets the 'voice' that needed help, she learns that it's a unicorn, yet she's the only one who seems to be able to see the horn. Everyone else thinks it's a horse. Charlie also learns that by having agreed to help the unicorn, she'd gotten herself involved with a group of friends, including the other person who can hear the unicorn, that she hadn’t been really involved with before. Not only is it changing her normal schedule drastically, given she hadn’t hung out with anyone before, but even her personal space seems under attack at times. As she continues to help the unicorn, she funds that going back to how she was isn’t as attractive as it had once been, before she was helping the unicorn but also she wonders if she really would want to. *Minor spoiler in the synopsis for vol. 2 if you haven't read vol. 1* Vol 2: Tip of Other Worlds Charlie and her friends begin traveling to other worlds in search of the world that the griffin canyon connects to. While they do that, Charlie finds herself torn with wanting to grow her relationship with Alex and beginning the expedition through different worlds. Then as the expedition begins, she finds more than she ever expected to find on other worlds, but ever in the back of her mind is the dream she had in which Beth, her best friend, dies in. A dream she's determined to keep from happening, even if she has to sacrifice the friendship that's come to mean so much to her. *Minor spoilers in vol. 3 synopsis* Vol. 3: Acclimating to a New World Charlie leaves her friends and is taken by The Lost. Her friends continue on and encounter a family who has the same disease they had just recovered from. While helping them, they learn about how this world is that of a matriarchal society and has been since ancient times. What that means they can't say, only that it's going to be awkward. Charlie comes to after a while, feeling like her brain had been I'm a fog and that she had been in a waking dream, only to find she's naked and in a kind of cage where she learns she's been taken as a slave. While she has no idea how this happened, she's determined to find a chance to successfully get out of that situation. Mature content will be either through implications or will only extend to the edge of it. The cover art was ai generated. An AI's Whispers of the Forest

Whispers of the Forest tells the tale of Clara Jenkins, a woman with the gift—and curse—of empathy. From a young age, Clara has been able to sense and feel the emotions of those around her, an ability that isolates her from others and leaves her wary of forming close relationships. But her life takes a dramatic turn when she ventures near Blackwood Forest, where she encounters Aldric, the powerful leader of a werewolf pack. Aldric recognizes Clara as his fated mate, the woman he has spent his life searching for, and the bond between them is instantaneous, leaving Clara overwhelmed by the depth of love he feels for her. However, Clara's journey into the world of werewolves is far from simple. She quickly learns that Aldric's pack is in danger from an ancient darkness that has begun to awaken within the forest. This darkness is no ordinary threat—it is a malevolent force that feeds on fear and despair, threatening to consume everything in its path. Clara, with her unique ability to connect with emotions, is the key to restoring balance to the forest, and the ancient spirits that reside within it choose her as their guardian. With Aldric by her side, Clara steps into her role as protector of the forest, but the battle ahead is more daunting than she could have ever imagined. As Clara faces shadowy creatures and confronts the darkness that lurks within the forest, she must also confront the darkness within herself. The remnants of the evil they fought during the battle have taken root in Clara's soul, manifesting as a shadow that whispers of her failures, doubts, and insecurities. The more she tries to suppress it, the stronger it becomes, threatening to consume her from the inside. Through the guidance of the spirits, Clara learns that she cannot simply banish the darkness—it is a part of her, just as much as the light. To protect the forest and those she loves, Clara must confront the shadow within, find balance, and embrace both the light and dark aspects of herself. This realization brings her to the difficult task of admitting her struggles to Aldric, who stands by her side as they work together to banish the darkness and heal the scars left on the forest. Ultimately, Whispers of the Forest is a story about love, resilience, and the importance of finding balance within oneself. It explores the complex interplay of light and darkness, both in the world and within the human soul, and the power of connection in overcoming even the most insurmountable challenges. Written by an AI, this story delves into themes of empathy, transformation, and the enduring strength of the human (and werewolf) spirit.

Echoes of the forgotten realm

In a world where ancient spirits live within the shadows of forests and magic echoes in the whispers of the wind, Kaela is called to the Forgotten Realm—a mystical forest that chooses its guardians. The Realm, both beautiful and haunted, shelters lost souls and protects its hidden magic, but it’s beginning to fray at the edges. Strangers speak of whispers in the trees, creatures never seen before, and a deepening darkness that even sunlight cannot reach. Kaela is drawn to the Forgotten Realm by dreams and a magnetic pull she can’t ignore. When she arrives, she realizes her role is more than just an outsider seeking peace; she is meant to protect and learn from the forest. Guided by Nira, the spirit of a former guardian who sacrificed herself to protect the land, Kaela learns to commune with the trees, read the patterns of nature, and tune herself to the forest’s rhythms. But she soon senses the encroaching darkness—a shadowy force that threatens to consume the Realm from within. As Kaela delves deeper, she discovers that the Realm has memories of lost guardians, each tied to the land in both life and spirit. She uncovers hidden places of power within the forest and learns of the sacrifices each guardian has made. Yet, the burden of her role weighs heavily, especially as she uncovers the truth: the Realm’s spirit sustains itself by the lives of its guardians, who become part of the land upon their passing. Just as Kaela is coming to terms with her role, she encounters a young woman, drawn to the forest much like she was once. Kaela realizes that the Realm has chosen its next guardian. She begins to pass on her knowledge, preparing her successor to understand the magic, history, and danger that resides within the forest. Together, they battle the looming darkness, learning that it originates from a breach in the ancient pact that once bound the forest spirits to the Realm. In her final act, Kaela joins the spirits of past guardians, merging with the Forgotten Realm in a ritual that restores balance and peace. The young woman takes her place as the new guardian, feeling Kaela’s presence everywhere—in the leaves, the wind, and the songs of birds. The forest remains timeless, alive with the echoes of every guardian who has walked its paths, their sacrifices woven into the trees, their voices part of its eternal song. The Forgotten Realm, ancient and enduring, now has a new protector, and the echoes of past guardians live on, watching, guiding, and protecting the forest as they always have and always will.
