Growing up in South Gate, you know when to keep your head held low. You know who and what you're supposed to talk about. You know what is completely off the table. After finding her brother shot dead in the park Kaiyana has always felt a guilt knowing she was the last person in her family to see him alive, knowing that her last words to him were far from "I love you." These past three years without him have weighted heavy on her, she's the same age as her brother when he died.
