Or if by her, I bring forth a vampire woman to be my heir? Will you show loyalty to my heirs?"  A few of the nobles became uncomfortable at this but calmed themselves. One man rose to his feet boldly and came forward. "My king if I may speak my opinion, it is very bold of you to assume that we will sit back and allow a werewolf to reign over us. We would allow a woman, that is not nearly as bad, but we would do as we did with Sköll, daughter of Fenrir. We would have her step down as soon as a male heir comes of age. My king, I expect that you would be able to bring forth a male heir, a vampire, if you just chose a different woman to be your queen."  Sirius asked him to take a seat as his doubts were confirmed that these people would be more loyal to their traditions than to him, and equally, that meant they could betray Saoirse, Lachlan, and Sroka one day.
