Onw day shade gets sent on a mission to assassinate scarlet, princess of the amulate kingdom, currently she was on a ship and with her she had the amulet of Talos, which as you would expect of a relic has great untapped power. The assassin master wanted the amulet so he sends shade, his new son to go and fetch it for him. Upon arriving on the ship shade kills everyone and right as he is about to asassin the princess he sees a familiar face, the face of mistress and stops creating a small time slip for scarlet to escape, and since she had water affinity, she travels to the nearest island and the whole ship blows up. Shade wakes up and finds himself in the same island and finds himself weaponless, his weapons taken by scarlet who saved him and now takes him hostage. Turns out the amulet can supress elemental affinities, making shade powerless and weaponless agaisnt the princess.
