As soon as my eyes landed on him, they widened at his aspect. He was wearing complete white which was complementing his silver silky hair. He gleams like shiny white armor. My eyes followed him, as he was getting closer in my direction.

At first, it seems like a harmless prank. Then he starts noticing a yellow duckling appearing in the same place, and a suffocating unsettling nightmare begins to haunt him every night. Each morning, the email arrives again, the duckling crosses his path, and the world feels a little less… real. As Shac digs deeper, he realizes these aren’t coincidences but clues to a greater mystery, one that threatens to unravel his life and his very sense of self. To uncover the truth, Shac must follow the trail of the Duck, but doing so might lead him to a reality he’s not ready to face.

August Harlow was a pretty mediocre player of the 2nd best guild, Burning Ambition, which focused on the very popular VRMMORPG Akathra: Expeditions. The main reasons for that was the fact that the only "burning ambition" August had was to explore. He did like the grind of levels and mobs, but the main reason he did it was to be able to access higher level areas to hunt for lore. Yep that's right August was mainly a lore hunter. Well that was before he was betrayed by his guild when he got a mythic item. His guild killed him repeatedly till he dropped the item and, just to pour salt on his wounds, back to level 1. The real salt was that when he left the game pod, there were people waiting for him, to "silence" him. But fate was a kind mistress because when August closed his eyes for the last time, he also opened them for the 119217600th time. August then swore to himself that this time was going to be different, that he was not going to join a guild just to suffer under the elites, He’d much rather just peacefully collect lore, but then again plans never seem to go exactly to the letter.
