A Throne For Sister: Rise Of The Dragon

Eirik Boris was never the type to accept a deal nor offer quickly, but with the girl in front of him, the riot that’s currently going on in the kingdom, and the rumor of the old king's bloodline, there are just too many things at stake. He looked at her with his eyes full of doubts, knowing very well that not only his life was at stake, but his region, too. But at the same time, if the girl in front of him is who she claimed to be, then a new beginning shall begin in the kingdom. It will be a new dawn of glory, a new turn—around, especially for the commoners. With a sharp blade in her hand, unlike anything Eirick had ever seen, which had a crystal that had a glinting red onyx at its end, the girl stepped into the long, narrow bridge, ready to prove that she was from the bloodline of the old king. “If you fail, I’ll surely deliver you to the king myself.” Eirik made it sound like a warning, and like he was not interested in her at the same time. But deep down, Eirick cared. If this girl turns out to be carrying the blood of the old king, then things will turn around for great. And if not, then he’d gladly deliver her to the king. At least, by doing that, he’d still have to keep his head, his family, and his region. And maybe, just maybe, the king will give him a limited punishment, but not a death sentence. “I won't fail,” Eirick heard her replying without turning, her voice full of uncertainty, though. Eirik held his daughter's hand, leading her back slowly, his armor bearer following, and then the nobles, a hundred of them who had come to watch the so-called girl who claimed to be carrying the blood of the old king venturing to the narrow bridge where she would recover what was left behind by the Old king himself. Before the old king vanished, he had said that only his true bloodline could cross the narrow bridge and retrieve what he had hidden there. Many people had come to attempt it, all of them claiming to be the son or daughter of the old king, and all of them had failed. This girl won't be an exception, at least, that's what they thought, not until the unexpected happened. As usual, the ghost guardian of the bridge, a being forged from magic with extraordinary abilities, emerged from the chasm of the bridge, standing tall and proud in front of the girl with a rapier in his hand. He didn't give the girl a chance to blink; he charged, the sound of metal against metal filling the air, sparkles flying out, and groaning of the two filled the atmosphere, too. And then, when everyone thought the girl would fail like the rest, they noticed her body shimmering, a great aura coming out of her body like a mist, her hair flaring in flame like a ghost rider, but she was not. And then, the blade radiated extra light, before the girl took full transformation herself. She easily bypassed the ghost as he presented his attack, moving with the grace of a leaf dancing in the wind, but in a blur that everyone hardly saw her moving. Before the ghost could wheel to face her, the girl struck him hard at the temple with the hilt of her blade, followed by a kick in the chest, which sent the ghost tumbling down the bridge. Normally, a ghost shouldn't feel attacked or get hit since he's partially invincible, but the girl was not ordinary either. She’s from the lineage of King Saul, making her the rightful heir to the kingdom of Agapanthus, and she just proved that to everyone by defeating an undefeatable foe.

LUCKY 21

Thank you for checking out this novel! I'm excited to share that it will soon have a manhwa webtoon adaptation. Please be sure to visit and support the webtoon by voting—your support means the world! Blood pooled across the floor, the sharp metallic scent mixing with the stifling air. Their teacher’s lifeless body lay crumpled, a gaping hole where his forehead had been. The entire class stood frozen, paralyzed by fear as the strange, unfeeling object hovered, its crimson sensor scanning the room like a predator sizing up its prey. Jin Dalle’s heart thundered in her chest, her trembling hands gripping the edge of her desk as her wide, terrified eyes darted toward the window. Above the school, it loomed—a machine neither bird nor beast, its cold, metallic surface glinting in the sunlight. Then, like a curtain of despair, an impenetrable barrier encased the campus, a shimmering dome stretching across the horizon. A cold, mechanical voice pierced the silence: "Commencing Operation REJUVENATION. Initiative 21—status: green. Attention: all humans in Zone 1 (Paradisus). Only two subjects will be permitted to exit the dome alive. Any attempt to escape will result in immediate incineration. T-minus 1,260 seconds to initiation." Panic erupted as the weight of the announcement settled. This was no test, no cruel joke. It was survival—an unspeakable game of life and death. Jin’s knees buckled under the pressure. She couldn’t kill. How could she? But survival demanded more than resolve; it demanded blood. Beside her stood Choi Minhee, her expression cold, her resolve sharper than a blade. Minhee didn’t flinch at the thought of taking a life—she would do whatever it took to survive, even if it meant staining her hands red. Together, they must navigate the abyss of betrayal, desperation, and despair. Trust is fragile, and hope is fleeting. As the dome becomes their battlefield, only two truths remain: death lurks in every shadow, and luck, that fickle mistress, could be their savior—or their undoing. Jin and Minhee must fight through hell, clinging to their wits, their instincts, and the faint, fragile thread of fortune. In a world where survival comes at the cost of humanity, who will be left standing when the dome finally falls?

Worst Zombie Day

That night, Aegis Squad infiltrated an abandoned laboratory complex to capture a mutated zombie alive for research. The air reeked of rusted metal and decay. "Make sure the trap is ready," whispered Major Pan Colman. Lila nodded, checking her device. "Ready, just waiting for the bait." Hart, tracking zombie movement, looked uneasy. "They’re smarter than we thought. We must move fast." From the shadows, a massive mutated zombie with armor-like skin emerged. "Wait for it to step into the trap," Pan whispered. As the creature moved forward, Lila activated the device. Steel clamps trapped it, sending high-voltage shocks that made it thrash violently. Before they could celebrate, Hart panicked. "Major, something big is moving behind us!" From the ruins, a giant zombie with protruding bones emerged, smashing through a wall with unnatural speed. "We need to move, now!" Pan ordered. The squad hauled the trapped zombie into their containment truck, escaping as the complex collapsed behind them. Inside the vehicle, Dr. Alaric muttered, "This isn't normal mutation. The virus is evolving too fast." Hart nodded. "It’s as if someone designed them. But who? And why?" Suddenly, a loud metallic thud echoed from the roof. "What was that?" Lila asked, weapon raised. Hart checked his tablet. "Something's on top of us! But it wasn’t detected before!" Pan signaled. "Rico, stop the vehicle. Lila and I will check." They stepped out and looked up. A tall, gaunt creature with razor-sharp claws clung to the roof, staring at them with soulless black eyes. "What the hell is that?" Lila whispered. The creature lunged with blinding speed. Pan and Lila dodged, but their bullets had no effect. "Get back inside! Now!" Pan commanded. They sprinted back, Rico hitting the gas. Hart read his tablet. "This thing… it's like a predator. Faster, stronger." Dr. Alaric whispered, "If this was made by Dominion, we’re dealing with a far deadlier bioweapon than I imagined." The creature pursued them, closing the distance. Lila and Pan fired, but it dodged effortlessly. In one leap, it grabbed the steel trap containing the mutated zombie. "It’s trying to take the zombie!" Lila yelled. Pan hurled a smoke grenade, forcing the creature to retreat. The vehicle sped away. Inside, tension remained thick. "We can't keep running," Pan stated. "We need to fight back. And we need to find out what Dominion of Varex has really done."
