If they really exist and aren't just a figment of our imagination, are they benevolent and merciful, or are they indifferent to our sufferings? Arohan, an atheist despised the concept of religion and Gods because of his parent's death. His parents left him wealth beyond measure, so he lived his life the way he desired and did whatever he wanted without caring about the consequences. But everything came crashing down when he was left with two choices; save himself or save the world. What option will a selfish guy like him choose?

Standalone horror stories, approximately 500 words per chapter, with each story fully independent of the others. If a character's name appears in multiple stories, it should not imply a connection between them unless explicitly noted otherwise.

First of all, welcome. I used to have another Novel with the same idea but since its old, I just made this one instead so it may reach more people since it's better on the algorythim and all of that. it's a compilation of short stories that I have in my mind. They had been there since very long and now I finally tried to unleash them.

On the night of the Mochizuki festival chaos broke out. A group of assassins invaded the valley sanctuary, set fire to buildings, and slaughtered a number of people. Two of those people were Jugo’s father and brother, but Jugo didn't get off easy either he lost his left arm. The Order of 8 Bells who govern the world covered the disaster up and silenced anyone who asked questions. They concluded it was an Ophis raid but Jugo rejects that verdict. Years go by and after awakening his gift Jugo decides to become an Ophis to solve the mystery of who killed his brother and father, and to give closure to his heartbroken mother. Leaving the sanctuary that you were born in is illegal but if it means seeing his mothers smile again Jugo would take on the great unknown and every opposition that stands in his way. Even Joseph and Jennifer had frightened. All the things in the room started moving in a circle around us. I moved toward the door to hold my children's hands, but the door was not opening. Suddenly a lamp fell on me, and I got hurt by this. Joseph got angry after seeing this. Joseph threw a toy given by a spirit and shouted you are not my mother. Suddenly, everything became calm, and the door opened. We went out of the room and packed our bags to return to our house. We returned to our house and decided not to go there again. We couldn't understand who was she and what she wanted?
