Halo Reach Infection

Monster: The Cursed Evolution

"To survive, he must evolve. To evolve, he must consume. But every step forward pushes him closer to becoming the very thing he fears..." Renji Kuroya was an ordinary office worker struggling to get by—until the day the world changed. When a dungeon suddenly materialized in the heart of the city, chaos erupted. Monsters tore through the streets, and hunters rushed in to fight. Trapped in the middle of the carnage, Renji should have died… but instead, he was infected by something far worse. A dying dungeon core fused with his body, turning him into a part-monster hybrid. Now, to survive, he must consume stronger beings—or risk being consumed himself. But every new power he gains comes with a price: instincts that aren’t his own, urges he can barely control, and a terrifying voice whispering in the back of his mind. As he struggles to resist the monstrous temptation within him, Renji learns the truth: dungeons aren’t random occurrences. They are prisons, and something ancient is trying to break free. The hunters fighting to stop dungeon outbreaks aren’t just exterminators—they’re executioners, eliminating anyone infected like him before they can become a threat. Hunted by the Organization, targeted by rogue factions, and stalked by an entity that knows more about his evolution than he does, Renji faces an impossible choice: Resist the mutation and be hunted like an animal. Embrace the evolution and risk losing his humanity. Or carve his own path and uncover the secrets buried within the dungeons. But the deeper he delves into this new reality, the more he realizes: his infection wasn’t an accident. It was a selection. And he wasn’t the first. But he might be the last.

Warning: The following work is not for weak minds; it has gore and really shitty things and villain here sometimes feels convincing and has nothing to do with real world or intend to create or support conspiracies or groups of any kind, so don't get offended If you still do, please read the warning again Here is what you can expect: fast passed 1. MC is average but uses his brain as much as possible and does have the possibility of dying, and I am being serious here. MC pretends to have a split personality for... 2. story is good It revolves around 17-year-old Mc and his friends Hruday and Haru, who seem to have had scary dreams before the apocalypse. Is this what made him different? But some seem to real to be fake. Is he suffering from memory loss or a secretly only memory regreeser!!? he doesn't know how to follow his journey in the apocalypse and how he manages his base while still being at his late teens, full of adults . it also follows of the villain, or you can call him antihero too 3. Well, think of MC as a veteran of zombie content; he thinks about almost everything, but he will die if your choices are bad. Well, until i put out the choices, he won't. and this isn't your typical fantasy zombie, rather a sci-fi one Also, if you don't know what audio theater is, i have a hidden gem called "We Are Alive." It is available in spotify for free ////// why are you still here? go try one or 2 chapters; i am sure you will like it 4. This was the ultimate entertainment when we had free periods (ahh, I miss those times ). i made it such that each choices had different impact. i will do that here too, on request 5. i don't make stories which aren't unique or I crave that kind of book to be created 5. this has some cool concepts; some might even create conspiracies so be aware Also, the first chapter is little long as it has dialogue and foreshadowing 6. i am doing this because i want others to watch my stories so i will try to make audio theater if requested and also search for a good editor who could correct my grammar mistakes. the credit for art goes to ArtStation remove this cover contact: hrudayjh1@gmail.com also to encourage or support

Silent Tide

This novel tells the story of two university students and their survival journey after a sudden zombie crisis erupts in Bristol, England. The protagonists, Jack and Emma, are a couple at the University of Bristol who have been dating for four years. Jack is a philosophy student with ADHD who loves outdoor activities and radio communications. Emma is a computer science genius with an introverted personality and exceptional programming and hacking skills. The story begins when Jack captures secret military communications with his modified radio equipment, codenamed "Silent Wave," while Emma's data analysis system detects abnormal hospital data. They witness the first zombie attack through Emma's electric car monitoring system and realize the city is facing a serious crisis. The zombie virus originated from a military experiment leak at Bristol Port and rapidly spread throughout the city. The government and military publicly claim it's a "chemical leak" but quickly deploy large numbers of troops to implement lockdown and "cleansing" operations. As the situation deteriorates, the government cuts off Bristol's electricity, water, and communications, but Emma gathers information through hacking and discovers the military's plan for a destructive strike codenamed "Scorched Earth." Facing the city's collapse, Jack and Emma decide to escape. They abandon using a motorcycle because roads are blocked by numerous abandoned vehicles, opting instead to travel on foot through the perilous city. Along the way, they encounter infected attackers, dangerous survivors, and witness the complete breakdown of urban order. Eventually, they successfully reach the observation tower at Clifton Cliff, from where they witness the military's devastating midnight bombing of Bristol, reducing the entire city to ashes in an attempt to control the infection. Faced with this disaster, Jack and Emma decide to head toward Wales in search of a safer refuge. The story's ending suggests that despite the government's extreme measures, the real threat—the "Silent Wave Zero Subject"—has already left Bristol under military escort and is en route to an unknown destination, indicating the crisis is far from over. The novel portrays society's rapid collapse in the face of disaster through a personal perspective, as well as human survival instincts and moral struggles in desperate situations. Jack and Emma's professional skills and psychological resilience are tested during the crisis, while their romantic relationship becomes a crucial force supporting them through the catastrophe.
