Mid-twenties woman Melody Violet has spent a significant portion of her romantic life using otome games. She is especially infatuated with Cyrus, her virtual partner in the well-known game Ardent Affection. Having never dated in real life, Melody takes comfort in the otome game world and in Cyrus's virtual friendship.
