Capitaine Fantaisie

It’s all just fantasy. I mean, boredom can kill, but the driving force behind it—lack of interest—is its mother. It’s hard to become good at nothing, you know? What’s the story here? Damn, I have no clue. It doesn’t make me happy to not improve, though. Everything I write is distorted by my lack of skill, and the more I think about it, the lazier I get. When is the end of the world, anyway? I mean, why drag things out so pointlessly? If the world is going to keep spinning, then at least make me immortal, give me all the powers—something! I don’t know, damn it. What’s the point of prolonging a world where I can’t even figure myself out? But hey, don’t worry. Maybe there will be a story to tell. I’ll write as I go, word by word, and it’s funny, isn’t it, how my synopsis accidentally ended up being 666 words long? Or maybe it wasn’t accidental. Maybe it was destiny’s cruel little joke, mocking my inability to finish anything I start. Every time I sit down to write, it’s like fighting a battle with my own brain. One part of me wants to create something meaningful, something worth remembering. The other part? It’s too busy obsessing over every flaw, every missed opportunity, every word that doesn’t quite fit. And the cycle goes on: the more I try, the more I fail, and the more I fail, the less I want to try. It’s a loop, endless and exhausting, a treadmill of self-doubt that I can’t seem to step off. And then there’s the world. Don’t even get me started on the world. Every day feels like a rerun of the same bad show, the same tired plotlines, the same inevitable decline. The news is a nightmare. People are either fighting over nonsense or pretending everything is fine when it clearly isn’t. Climate change, wars, injustice—pick your poison. It’s like watching a slow-motion car crash and knowing you can’t do anything to stop it. But then again, what would I even do if I had the power? Let’s say I was immortal, let’s say I had every power imaginable—what then? Would I fix things? Would I save the world? Or would I just use those powers to escape, to build my own little pocket universe where none of this nonsense exists? Honestly, I’m not sure I trust myself to do the right thing. I’d probably just waste all that power trying to create something perfect, only to watch it fall apart like everything else. It’s frustrating, you know? Feeling like you’re stuck in a world that doesn’t make sense, with a mind that can’t seem to do what it’s supposed to. Writing, for example—it should be simple, right? Just put words on a page. But it’s never that easy. Every word feels like a risk, every sentence like a gamble. What if it’s not good enough? What if people read it and hate it? What if no one reads it at all? And yet, despite all that, I keep writing. Why? Maybe it’s because, deep down, I believe there’s still a story worth telling. Or maybe I’m just stubborn. Either way, here I am, pouring my thoughts onto the page, hoping that somehow, some way, it’ll all come together. Maybe it won’t. Maybe this will just be another unfinished project, another half-baked idea that never goes anywhere. But at least I tried, right? And who knows? Maybe this is the story. Not some grand epic about heroes and villains, but something smaller, quieter—a story about trying and failing and trying again. A story about someone who doesn’t have all the answers, who’s still figuring things out. Maybe that’s enough. Maybe that’s all any of us can really do: keep going, keep trying, keep telling our stories, even when it feels like no one’s listening. So here it is, my 666-word synopsis. It’s messy and flawed and probably not what you were expecting. But it’s mine, and for now, that’s enough.

Luckily, he somehow scored an Automated System that does all the fighting, thinking, and surviving for him. Now he can sit back, relax, and… oh, wait. Turns out even Hell can’t handle his laziness. From accidentally defeating bosses while taking naps to pissing off demons just by existing, Lu Sheng’s "efforts" bring chaos everywhere he goes. Class Reptilia [Progression Fantasy]

[Action/Science Fantasy/Battle Academy] Updating daily through Arc 1 One hundred years ago, being diagnosed with the "affliction" was the kiss of death. Whether by mutation or firing squad, Linnaeans lived notoriously tragic lives. The few that lived suffered from irreversible mutations. These creatures, few as they were, inspired legends of werewolves, mermaids, and sirens. Then came the treatments for the Linnaean affliction. The discovery of temporary gene repression meant that the development of mutations could be slowed and managed. This created an "unholy" new race that shared the DNA of both humans and animals. Feared and hated by the outside world, they created a stronghold to develop their medicines and amass their power. Today, Linnaeans from all over the continent live in the City of Mendel and train under the renowned Professor Corax, a brilliant and eccentric geneticist. Just before her eighteenth birthday, Ember is diagnosed with the affliction. Suddenly, instead of moving into her dorms and studying with the brightest in the country, she is whisked off to the City of Mendel by government officials who are as scared of her as she is of them. As she contends with a new city and her own treatment, she'll also have to face the tension of the half-baked treaty between the Linnaean people and the outside world. There's no doubt - life won't be easy in a city where the population is able to harness the abilities (and instincts) of animals. ----------------------------------------------------- Also available on Royal Road, Scribblehub, and Spacebattles Forum. After Picking up the Fallen Female Zerg General (HAITUS)

Sorry im a bit busy, will pick up around november and December. Ye Er first saw that female zerg in an advertisement. He was cheap, and significantly damaged, with only a pair of golden eyes that remained beautiful. Later, when he saw him again, he was in the female slave exchange live broadcast, where he was trampled, his spine crushed, shamelessly humiliated, his eyes silently enduring the pain and embarrassment. Yet, he shed not even a single teardrop. Later on, Ye Er picked up that dying female zerg back home. Nursing the female zerg back to health was like repairing an old, rusty machine. He was severely mutilated, had lost his bone wings, was blinded in one eye, and had his legs broken, unable to walk. Broken and tattered, completely lacking in value, silent yet sharp. Ye Er cared for him like a stray dog he had picked up, changing bandages, feeding, caressing his head to appease, turning on the lights at night to drive away spasms and nightmares… striving to be a qualified keeper. However, after continuous nursing, the female zerg who unknowingly grew powerful and returned to the peak of power, surrounded him with his newly grown bone wings, gently and cautiously with matchless devotion. Five years after the war ended, the empire and the military welcomed back their "sacrificed" general, leading to a strong reshuffle, resulting in the dismissal of numerous noble military officers. On the surface, the scene was of foul wind and blood rain, with fear and trepidation. While the media was subtly pointing fingers at the arrogant and cold-blooded tyrant, the tyrant was wearing a soft pink warm apron, skillfully baking matcha cookies with a gentle expression as he called Ye Er to wash his hands before eating. No one could have imagined that during the day, the general, who was violent and unparalleled, skillfully tearing mechas apart on the military training ground— Would obediently open up his heart completely with his own hands, trembling all over, his eyes red and moist from being bullied, hoarsely voicing his forbearing affection. "Only you can do anything to me." Indian History our pride...

According to consensus in modern genetics, anatomically modern humans first arrived on the Indian subcontinent from Africa between 73,000 and 55,000 years ago.[1] However, the earliest known human remains in South Asia date to 30,000 years ago. Settled life, which involves the transition from foraging to farming and pastoralism, began in South Asia around 7000 BCE. At the site of Mehrgarh presence can be documented of the domestication of wheat and barley, rapidly followed by that of goats, sheep, and cattle.[2] By 4500 BCE, settled life had spread more widely,[2] and began to gradually evolve into the Indus Valley civilisation, an early civilisation of the Old World, which was contemporaneous with Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. This civilisation flourished between 2500 BCE and 1900 BCE in what today is Pakistan and north-western India, and was noted for its urban planning, baked brick houses, elaborate drainage, and water supply.[3] Indus Valley civilisation, mature phase (2600–1900 BCE) Early on in the second millennium BCE, persistent drought caused the population of the Indus Valley to scatter from large urban centres to villages. Around the same time, Indo-Aryan tribes moved into the Punjab from Central Asia in several waves of migration. Their Vedic Period (1500–500 BCE) was marked by the composition of the Vedas, large collections of hymns of these tribes. Their varna system, which evolved into the caste system, consisted of a hierarchy of priests, warriors, and free peasants. The pastoral and nomadic Indo-Aryans spread from the Punjab into the Gangetic plain, large swaths of which they deforested for agriculture usage. The composition of Vedic texts ended around 600 BCE, when a new, interregional culture arose. Small chieftaincies, or janapadas, were consolidated into larger states, or mahajanapadas, and a second urbanisation took place. This urbanisation was accompanied by the rise of new ascetic movements in Greater Magadha, including Jainism and Buddhism, which opposed the growing influence of Brahmanism and the primacy of rituals, presided by Brahmin priests, that had come to be associated with Vedic religion,[4] and gave rise to new religious concepts.[5] In response to the success of these movements, Vedic Brahmanism was synthesised with the preexisting religious cultures of the subcontinent, giving rise to Hinduism.

egg and I .... winning the heart

1946, Betty McDonald’s whimsical autobiography was as popular as baked beans; now it’s almost completely forgotten, but, tellingly, still in print. Alas, after an hour or two with The Egg & I, it was excruciatingly obvious that Betty McDonald’s book is not a classic. On some weeks, there might be as many as five competing challenges for each nonfiction slot, but rarely as straightforward as this. Literary classics cluster on the north face of Parnassus. For this vertiginous terrain there are different sherpas. Italo Calvino says that a classic is “a book that has never finished what it wants to say”. Ezra Pound identifies “a certain eternal and irresponsible freshness”; TS Eliot, much more astringent, observed in The Sacred Wood that “no modern language can hope to produce a classic, in the sense I have called Virgil a classic”. Alan Bennett wryly notes: “Definition of a classic: a book everyone is assumed to have read and often thinks they have.” Among nonfiction classics, the most treacherous category is that creature beloved of publishers – “the contemporary classic”. A second cousin to that notorious impostor is the “instant classic”. Such books will have been judged by slippery criteria: popular and literary critical fashion, a changing marketplace and new technology, bestseller lists and hype. In the past 100 years, a familiar palette of blurbish adjectives has given shape and colour to a moving target: provocative, outrageous, prophetic, groundbreaking, funny, disturbing, revolutionary, moving, inspiring, life-changing, subversive… a portrait of sir walter raleigh wearing a brocaded and beaded doublet The 100 best nonfiction books: No 99 – The History of the World by Walter Raleigh (1614) Read more This list raises another troubling question: is nonfiction “the new fiction”? There are some good writers who will argue that this is so, but I believe that nonfiction (which can sometimes successfully bring together many genres) is not, strictly speaking, a genre of its own. Creatively – yes – using narrative techniques borrowed from fiction, it’s possible to give certain kinds of nonfiction the aura of a distinct new genre. Yet, at the end of the day, “nonfiction” fractures into time-hallowed categories such as philosophy, memoir, history, reportage and poetry (see below), etc. This is particularly true of “nonfiction classics” from the 18th and 19th centuries, titles such as A Treatise of Human Nature by David Hume or On Liberty by JS Mill. By that yardstick, a recent classic will be quite distinct, chiefly because its literary and cultural milieu is so different
