The things we left behind
Amy’s life has shattered into pieces since her mother’s death. Over the past two months, she’s shut herself off from the world, unable to move forward, lost in a fog of grief and confusion. The only person who still reaches out to her is Grace, a persistent classmate who is determined to pull Amy back into the world. Despite Grace's efforts, Amy remains distant, unwilling to connect with anyone.
Everything changes when Amy reluctantly joins an online group chat for a class project and meets Leon, a quiet and thoughtful guy who seems to understand her in ways no one else does. At first, their conversations are awkward and revolve around schoolwork, but slowly, they begin to open up to each other. Leon offers her a listening ear, never pushing or trying to fix her pain but offering gentle insights and encouragement.
As their connection deepens, Amy begins to trust Leon, and through their online friendship, she starts to confront her grief. With Leon’s support, Amy begins to understand that healing doesn’t happen overnight, but it starts with someone who truly sees her for who she is—someone who doesn’t try to change her but accepts her as she is.
Through Leon, Amy learns that it’s okay to ask for help, and that moving forward isn’t about forgetting the past but finding a way to live with it. Slowly, she begins to feel a flicker of hope—a hope that, with time, she may heal and start building a future once again.
