Spoken Word Contest

The Lone Star's Epilogue

Suffering is the instrument of existence, and sin is the melody of life. Now, negative karma is spreading throughout the Omniverse. To bring karma into balance in the cosmos, divine judgment must be bestowed upon every civilization within the Divine Omnistream. On the planet known as Tellus, divine judgment was delivered in SE 20. Einsamer Stern, an orphan caught in the vortex of relentless survival against cosmic threats, seeks allies among regressors, reincarnators, and prophets. He must fight, persevere through all obstacles, and resist the cosmic system that controls his life. However, fate has different plans for him, ones that relentlessly attempt to erase his existence from reality itself. To forge his own destiny, defy his fate, and bear the burden of his planet, he must embody both the devil and the savior. An epic space opera that explores the concepts of free will, fate, and destiny. This is a story that transcends time and space—of a fool striving to end the cycle of suffering and sin. --------------------------------------------------- Daily Update: 4-7 chapters a week. Chapter length: 1500-3000 words Romance is not the primary focus, but explicit sexual scenes involving other characters that serve the plot can be expected. This story progresses at an intentionally slow pace, as I meticulously detail every fight scene and interaction to immerse the reader deeper into the world. WORDS WE NEVER SAID

In a world where unspoken truths can weigh heavier than mountains, no one ever warned me about the danger of words left unsaid. I always thought I could handle it—breaking my heart seemed easier than breaking my mind, after all. But it turns out, the mind is a far more dangerous place than the heart. It doesn’t heal quickly, and it doesn’t forget. What happens when you leave words hanging in the air is that they start to fill every empty space, crowding out anything else, leaving only the residue of missed opportunities and what-ifs. My journal sat in front of me now, filled with everything I’d never said. All the words that could have changed something, anything. It was strange, how it felt so much easier to discard an entire journey than it did to let go of a single glance from yesterday. The words I left behind felt heavier than the pages I wrote them on. I didn’t even know why I kept writing anymore—maybe because it was the only place where I could finally speak, even if no one would ever read it. The reality of not saying things, of keeping my feelings buried, left a deeper scar than any conversation I never had. But what could I do? It’s not like the words would ever come, not now. What was left were the possibilities—the ones that never had a chance to come to life. A life where we could have made different choices, said the things we were too scared to say. But the past is a cruel thing to hang onto. It taunts you with the “what could have been” but never gives you any answers. And so, I sat there, sighing as I thought about how this was all I could do—curse the world, blame myself, and wonder if maybe there was something I could have changed. Maybe I could’ve found a way to let him know how I felt. Maybe I could’ve found the courage to stop pretending. But now, I was just left to face the weight of silence, and it felt as heavy as the words I could never speak. I thought I could be fine, that time would wash it all away—just move on, I told myself. But the more I tried, the more I found myself tangled in a web of thoughts that didn’t make sense. The days and nights we spent together were now just memories—snippets of laughter, quiet moments, little glances exchanged in the middle of the chaos, all trapped in the space between the confusion and the comfort of what used to be. I looked back, trying to make sense of it all, but it was like trying to hold water in my hands. The harder I tried, the more it slipped through my fingers. I regard all of us, how we all fall into this trap—how we’re all just people, trying to navigate this world with the hope that someone might catch us, that someone might finally understand what we didn’t say. Maybe we all end up here, stuck in the mess of things we wanted to say, but never did. And at the end of the day, there’s no one to blame but ourselves. We’re the ones who held back, who kept our truths hidden, all for the sake of protection, or pride, or fear. It’s easy to blame the world for the things that go wrong, but in the end, we’re the ones who let it go unspoken. And maybe that’s the hardest part—learning that we were the ones who stood in our own way.

Contest of Three Worlds

The vast scale of our universe has lead us to believe that we must be alone. However, this isn't the case. Fane, a member of a highly advanced spacefaring civilization, is suddenly summoned to a medieval world, reminiscent of Old Earth's Dark Ages. On the surface, kingdoms wage endless wars, while beneath, a mysterious dungeon sprawls, its labyrinthine corridors constantly shifting like the gears of a clock. Yet, this world is not the only one drawn into the chaos. Two others have also been pulled into the fray, bringing with them powerful crystalline mages and ancient gods long thought forgotten. Now, Fane must fight to survive alongside native warriors and foreign entities alike, all while unraveling the cryptic mysteries of this strange and dangerous realm. Survival is only the beginning - deciphering the truth could change everything. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hello! Thanks for checking out my work! I'm not the greatest author, but I plan to consistently update this project, even if I have to write significantly slower than what you typically find on this platform. (My apologies!) Below, you will find some key notes that might be nice to see before becoming invested. PACE: 1 ch/week For now, I plan to write roughly 1 chapter / week. However, this might change in the future as I acclimate to writing more frequently. (Or if this story randomly becomes very successful.) MONEY: At least first 50 ch FREE I know I just mentioned this story becoming "successful", which typically entails paying the author and bla bla bla. BUT! I like the idea of this just being my story with no hooks or lines for a while. I plan to make the greater first chunk of the story free. TRENDS: ~~Overpowered~~ Honestly, I hate the concept of things being "overpowered". It reminds me of the first time I hacked my favorite childhood videogame. (It sucked the fun out of it completely.) That being said, I want this story to involve genuine challenges that take effort or risk to overcome. GENRE: Action, Mystery I would like this story to focus primarily around Action and Mystery. There might be some mild things tossed into the fray like comedy and romance, but don't expect anything too raunchy. DISCORD: -not yet implemented- I may eventually start a discord for this story. It could make a good library for supporting lore or artwork, as well as a place for people to discuss their theories or leave feedback. For now, this discord doesn't yet exist, but I will update you here when/if that changes. OTHER STORIES: Paused A few of you may have known me from my previous stories. I know, you may be pretty bummed that I haven't updated either in a really long time. There were some pretty hefty flaws in those stories that I kind of beat myself up over. (I actually formed this story while trying to restructure the surface world for 'Reincarnated as a Haunted Machine'.) For now, this will be my only work, as the world I live in has become rather complicated in recent years. Perhaps at some point, I will return to my other works, but for the foreseeable future, this story will be my one true love.
