Mizuki Lower

Reincarnation Of The Cursed Witch

#She cursed herself to never be in love only to fall harder for him# ... "I know you like me and I like you too. But with my status, I can't lower myself to marry a mistress's daughter. Someone like you fit only to be my toy" Hearing the man she loved say such heartbreaking words, Lilian was devastated. "Even if I were to be reborn, love shall be the last thing I feel for a man" she cursed herself on her deathbed. And she was reborn as Rosalind Hellebore. ... Lucien Kingsley waited for centuries to meet that one woman who was said to be his family's saviour, someone who would end their misery. And they both ran into each other by accident or that was what she thought. ... "How do you want to pay for this?" Lucien asked wiping the wine stains on his suit jacket. "I'll wash it myself" Rosie muttered, with her head lowered. "Not happening" Lucien's voice was decisive with no chance for her to bargain. "Then I'll pay the amount in instalments. For now, take this" Rosie uttered, taking out the two hundred dollar bills she saved after working for two long months. "Just until when will you pay me the full amount like this?" Lucien scoffed. "What do you want me to do then? I'm not from a rich family like you. I'm dirt poor. Even the dress I'm wearing now was bought by someone else" Rosie felt her eyes burn but held back the tears as tears were the last thing she wanted to show him now. "How about you work for me?" Lucien's voice was the softest he ever used on anyone. "Really?!" Rosie exclaimed. That was it. Rosie, the little lamb fell into the big bad wolf's trap. Curiosity of God

NOTE: Chapters are LONG, ~8x normal. When college physics student Mizuki Hakuto faces the obligatory bus-kun death of all isekai protagonists, he's brought face-to-face with a divine entity. When not mocking Mizuki, the so-called godling explains the nature of the universe – gods, godlings, mythical beasts, and more. Most importantly, magic is real. Just...not on Earth. Inspired by Earth's manga and having a penchant for drama, the godling offers him the opportunity to experience these things on a different world. The world is ruled by a strange god that treats it like a divine petri dish, and it's filled with interesting creatures the god collected from all across the universe. The god of this strange planet seems welcoming and helpful at first, but Mizuki quickly realizes that all is not as it seems in the magical world of Azura. Wielding science and newfound sorcery, Mizuki investigates the fundamental laws of magic, the nature of the divine, and more, but his progress is watched in secret by powerful forces. As he gains knowledge and power, and his darker nature is revealed, will the gods sit idly by? FAQ: Q – What's the overall tone of this story? A – It seems pretty lighthearted at first, but the trajectory of the story makes it progressively darker. I'd say the story takes itself fairly serious at times, but the characters' personalities lend to plenty of comedic dialogue. Especially in the lull between major events. Q – Isekai tropes? A – Yes. Some are leaned into, some are mocked, but most make an appearance in some form. Q – Is the MC's prior life relevant? A – Yes! The MC relies heavily on knowledge specific to Earth, and especially his science background. The MC trying to reconcile his scientific understanding from Earth with this newfound variable of magic is a major theme of the story. Q – How is the MC isekai'd? Is he reincarnated? A – In the most tropey way possible, of course. He gets hit by a bus. After dying, he's resurrected in his original body and sent to another world as an adult. Q – Is there slavery in this isekai? A – Yes, and it's not a pretty industry. However, the MC detests the slavery on Azura. The story won't shy away from the effect it has on the lives of those the MC meets. This will not be one of those stories where the MC virtue signals about how bad slavery is, but inexplicably keeps slaves of their own and it's painted as 'good' because the slaves are 'treated well'. Q – Is the MC overpowered? A – Absolutely, but this will vary as the story progresses and the MC's frame of reference and knowledge changes. It's meant as a kind of transient 'incubation' phase for the MC, where we see how having seemingly absolute power affects his personality and decisions. It helps reveal his true, unrestricted self. Q – Is this another self-insert isekai story? A – I certainly think that's true of the MC early on in the series – it takes a while to learn much about his personal life on Earth or personality. We're watching an MC who seems to be a reactionary person on Earth, just going through the motions, necessarily develop more of a sense of self in a world where his actions are more consequential. Q – You tagged this as 'romance'...is there a harem? A – Yup. The MC eventually has two romantic partners, though one is a bit more dominant. So, think more Tsukimichi, less late-game Arifureta.

I Can Tame, Summon, And Turn Dragons And Beasts Into Weapons.

Kaito had been an average young man, barely scraping by, until the once in a lifetime chance of awakening a mysterious "TWO IN ONE CLASSIFIED SYSTEM" was given to him, which would change his life. However, before he could even understand its power, he got transmigrated into a ruthless new world. Born to an illegitimate third son with no authority and spiritual power, Kaito went from having a bright future ahead to becoming a ‘TRASH TALENT.’ Still, even with this system he has nothing yet any power; he is a joke in the kingdom where everyone values might and magic. Things are made worse by the fact that the only way he can get back to earth is to perform incredible missions assigned to him by an unknown system. But how will he achieve that when his enemies continue to amass power and he has no capability to keep up? He will have to struggle up from the lower class not simply to survive, but to reclaim his position. He will summon dragons and Beast to ride, enemies to defeat and Kingdoms to conquer, he shall either ascend to the highest levels of power or be buried by the system that was created to guide him. Is it possible for Kaito to usurp the ‘trash’ social status that was positioned to him? Can an outcast who is rejected by society be more brilliant than the wonders of this new era? Or will this man’s dreams be thwarted even before they get off the ground? See how Kaito manages to avoid pitfalls in Astrynea which are dangerous enough that one slip will lead to the downfall.
