Housewives

Time by the cliff side.

Alice was an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. Born in a town situated in the countryside where everyone knew each other. In a town where nothing special happens. The only noteworthy thing was the gossip of the housewives. Alice was always driven by a curiosity about her surroundings. Curious about her friends. Curious about her town. Curious about what she learned in school. Some found her curious nature adorable. Some were indifferent to her curiosity. And some were not too welcoming to her curiosity. One day a group of classmates, led by a boy from her class, found her a perfect target to liven up their stagnant days. And so they started with small stuff such as calling her names and teasing her but that soon escalated. Alice in her spare time decided to explore the surroundings of the town to get away from the bullies. Almost as if it was brought about by fate. Her feet lead her in a random direction with confidence. At 10-years old she stumbled upon an abandoned path to a scenic view of the ocean, and there she met a person who would satiate her unending curiosity for the rest of her life. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I have had this need to write something for a while now and while I was on a trip with my family and saw the scenery at one of our stops, the idea for the story just came to me and I immediately began to write a draft for it. 〆(・ω・*) So if you enjoy the story then I am sorry but this was written on a whim and I don’t expect it to be good because it is the first time I wrote anything considered a story. (*_ _)人 Also, I most likely would update infrequently so don’t expect much consistency. But despite all that, if you decide to stick with this story, I give you my heartfelt thanks. Veil Of Affection (GL)

After surviving a traumatic incident during the war that left her with both physical and emotional scars, Eleanor Carrington has become reclusive and has distanced herself from intimacy. Her parents, concerned about her state, arrange a blind date for her with Elizabeth Hayes, the daughter of their close friends. To her surprise, Elizabeth is also not interested in the arrangement. Recognizing the potential benefits, the two women decide to enter into a sham marriage to keep their families at bay and protect their own interests. However, as they begin this new arrangement, they soon discover that their relationship might not be as "sham" as they thought. Under the pretense of their fake marriage, they start to explore their feelings for each other and find comfort and solace in each other's company. As they navigate their new life together, they uncover secrets, heal wounds, and build a deeper connection that challenges their initial agreement. Will Eleanor and Elizabeth be able to maintain their charade, or will their true emotions and desires bring them closer together? ***** Eleanor looked at Elizabeth longingly. The two were merely having a simple meal, a meal that Eleanor had cooked after learning one. It's truly unexpected, it's not a meal that's too extravagant nor was it beautifully crafted but every bite left a sweet taste on her mouth, making her smile widely. The long brown lashes quivered slightly as Eleanor realized that Elizabeth had noticed her strange behavior. The soft red lips that have crumbs of the meal she just ate curved upward, her deep crystal like eyes looking back at Eleanor, as if asking what's wrong as she swayed her head to the right, her long curly hair following her motion as it draped down her beautiful green dress. "What's wrong?" Elizabeth asked with a sweet tone, causing ripples after ripples of emotion sway inside Eleanor's chest, her heart quickening to the beat as her cheeks reddened in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I just dozed off." Eleanor replied as she buried her head down, picking up a slice of the steak she cooked, trying to calm her head and heart. Maybe, it's not just the meal that was sweet. ***** As another bouquet of flowers was delivered to Elizabeth's desks, she smiled affectionately with a sparkle in their eyes as they read the note left for her by her wife. This romantic gesture was merely a facade to hide the fact that their marriage was a fake one and even if she knew it deep within, she still couldn't help but be giddy. 「 I wish this tulips would suffice for me to show how deeply I adore your beautiful eyes. -E. Carrington ♡ 」 "My, my, would you look at those smiles? It looks like it would stretch a mile." Elizabeth snapped out of her thoughts as she coughed, covering her hands, and with a bashful smile, she waved her hand dismissively. "You're exaggerating it." Elizabeth replied as she put the tulips down and looked for another vase as all the vases she had lying around were full of flowers that Eleanor had given her and she didn't have the heart to throw them away. "Still, she's a very sweet one. I wish my husband would also give me one." He sighed and smiled. Observing Elizabeth as she nodded. "She's truly sweet." Elizabeth murmured. Author's note: this is an omegaverse work set in the 1950s. There's 25% alphas and omegas in this world and the remaining half were betas. The alphas are treated quite well and respected (you can say that in our real world, they're like men), the betas, regardless of gender, are treated fine as well. Not as much as alphas but you get the point, and lastly, omegas aren't really much valued (you can say that they're treated like how women during this era are treated) and seen mostly as housewives and mothers. Female alphas have the thing.
