In a world where the ground was covered by poisonous fog, cities were built magically upon each other creating a high structure that pierced the sky, but the altitude you live in determines power, the strong live above, emotionless and untouchable. The weak remain below, fragile and consumed by fear. And in the depths, the Fog rises—poisonous, filled with monsters, and turning those it touches into mindless beasts.
At the pinnacle of the city, he was one of the Three Rulers. A man who shaped laws to serve his power, making survival even more brutal for those beneath him. He believed the weak were nothing more than insects, unworthy of mercy.
But one of his fellow rulers, an old woman with a mysterious ability, defied him. She warned him not to pass his latest law. He ignored her. So she poisoned him—and with a curse, forced him to reincarnate at the very bottom.
Now, trapped in the body of a weak, rebellious boy in the lowest floor, he is forced to endure the suffering he once ignored. The Fog creeps closer, the beasts lurk in the shadows, and the people struggle to climb higher before they are consumed.
But even in this wretched state, his ambition remains.
To ascend again, he must become a Fog Diver, one of the few brave—or desperate—souls who dive into the Fog to hunt its horrors and earn the right to climb.
The city has only one rule: Defeat those above you, take their rank, and rise. Lose, and you fall.
He will rise. He will reclaim his throne.
But as he fights, as he climbs, and as he experiences emotions for the first time, a question lingers in his mind.
Was the old woman right?
No. It doesn’t matter.
Because in this world, only the strongest survive.
And he refuses to be weak at all cost.
