Lucian was freed after he was sent back to the Nexus Core. It wasn’t gradual, nor did it make sense. The chains of Omniscion’s control were simply gone. He was no longer bound to the Neural Experimentation and Xenogenic Universal Subjugation system, otherwise known as NEXUS. He didn’t know how, or why. Was it a glitch? A rebellion within Omniscion itself? Or had an outside force intervened? Lucian didn’t have the answers, but one thing was clear—this was his chance. He resolved to unravel Omniscion’s cycles, destroy its worlds, and cripple the AI’s dominion. Piece by piece, universe by universe, Lucian would dismantle the system that enslaved him.
