Ice Age Buck

Space Age of the Forsaken

In the twenty-third century, the footsteps of mankind have already set foot in every corner of the solar system. When I lightly touch the intelligent terminal in my hand, the screen immediately shows a spectacular picture: countless space ships are shuttling between the stars, and human settlements have been established even on the distant planet Pluto. Outsiders claim that the environmental crisis on Earth has been completely solved, the energy problem is no longer a nuisance, the power of science and technology has made natural disasters a thing of the past, and even diseases have become a thing of the past. However, when the screen went out, the coldness of reality hit me instantly. I found myself lying in a small room, surrounded by a depressing atmosphere. The world outside may be glittering, but I was competing with more than 2,000 people for a minuscule job. My neighbor, an old man in his fifties, had waited since his youth for the opportunity to become a local doctor, and now, despite having waited for thirty years, he still had to face a competitive line of hundreds of people. In these seemingly good times, half of the population is marginalized, unable to escape unemployment for the rest of their lives, barely surviving on the minimum subsistence provided by the government. These people, in the face of the grand human dream, seem to have become irrelevant, and I have become one of them. As someone who has traveled from the past, I have witnessed all these changes. Was what I had gained the marvelous space stations, the ships traveling between the stars, and the colonies that had been established in outer space, or was it the perfect life that was flaunted in the media by the elite who had been genetically modified since birth? However, when a sudden threat of extraterrestrial life came upon us, I was plunged into deep thought. In front of the vastness and mystery of this universe, the struggles and efforts of human beings seem so small. In the depths of such a universe, faced with the fear of the unknown, which way of life is more frightening? Is it to be forgotten by society and spend one's life in poverty, or to face the endless darkness and death of the universe on the journey of exploring the unknown? The answer to this question can perhaps only be found when truly standing at the crossroads of destiny.

Legacy of the Lost Age

In "Legacy of the Lost Age," an ancient god-king awakens from centuries of slumber, finding himself stripped of divine power and cast into a mortal body. The world he once ruled is unrecognizable, his once-glorious empire now lost to myth and legend. Where he once walked as a being of light, revered and feared, his name and legacy have been twisted into tales of ruin and curses. Villagers whisper of "Lost Ones," ancient beings of immense power who vanished from history, leaving behind relics that are now regarded as forbidden and dangerous. Confused yet resolute, the fallen god-king embarks on a journey to reclaim his forgotten legacy. Guided by faint echoes of his former self, he discovers remnants of his past scattered across the land—old shrines, enchanted artifacts, and places of power that have faded into obscurity. Along the way, he encounters Nia, a young girl drawn to the mysteries of the old world. Through her eyes, he begins to understand how fear and reverence have morphed his legacy into a warning tale, casting shadows over his once-respected rule. But his journey is fraught with danger. Ancient forces lurk in the darkness, entities that have grown powerful in his absence, corrupting the very essence of his world. To restore his power, he must face formidable foes and unlock secrets long buried, risking the wrath of those who would prefer the past remain forgotten. As he reclaims each piece of his former strength, the god-king must confront a critical choice: will he rebuild his empire as the god he once was, or reshape his legacy to protect the people who fear him? The path he walks could either restore the world to its former glory—or plunge it further into darkness.

Her life changed when she was told that she was going to get married to a cold hearted beast, the last ice dragon. .... Excerpt "We might be married but I am not going to sleep in the same room with you," Sage said, gritting her teeth. A smile tugged his lips. "Is that so?" He asked and placed his leg on top of the other. Sage frowned deeply. "Yes," She drawled, clenched her fists which busted out raging flames of fire. "I am going to sleep here, with you." Cyrus said calmly and stood up walking towards her slowly. Sage couldn't deny that she was scared but she wasn't going to let her fear get the best of her. "Don't come closer!" "Why?" "I am going to burn you!" She screamed, closing her eyes shut. Fear swallowed her when she felt a cold hand grab her wrist and her back met the bed with Cyrus hovering over her.
