Man is a trichotomous being, made up of the body, the spirit and the soul. The body is the material part of him, formed from the dust of the earth, the spirit is the breath in him which gives him the consciousness about how to think, eat, walk, manipulate, and most especially, having a free will, which gives him the consciousness of right and wrong, and that is why he has a soul. This Soul of his, is the recipient of every action and every reaction exhibited by the Body through the Spirit. That is to say, whatever the Body and Spirit do (right or wrong) eventually affects the Soul, positively or negatively.
