Rise To Stardom

Orphaned in the old world after taking care of his irresponsible and sick mother for years on end, Kyle finds his life turned upside down. His already dim world turns even gloomier and coupled with his trauma from losing her, Kyle felt like he had lost his purpose in life. Living day by day, akin to a soulless puppet, he struggled to keep his suicidal thoughts in check, all whilst trying to make ends meet as a cabbie. During those dark times, Kyle slowly begins to find solace in the world of music and movies. Even though it had always been there, it truly became something as a bloodline of sorts for him because, individually, both pieces of media, transported him to another world, one where he could feel happy, if even for a fleeting moment. And, as if the universe wanted even more for him, Kyle met some lovely old people, all of whom treated him as the son they never had, making him feel like he had a family after so long. This eventually, helped him let go of his trauma and turned him into the lovely soul he was always meant to be. But as fate would have it, these same people, wanted for Kyle to pursue his dreams because they saw the potential for greatness in him and the wonderous things he could go on to do, even if Kyle himself was oblivious to it. So, in an effort to make his dreams come true, they ended up gifting him a brand new chance, one that Kyle himself would only go on to realize after his untimely death in a fatal car accident. Now awake in the new world, still orphaned but with a brighter perspective on life, Kyle, armed with a System, another gift from his loved ones in the previous world, decides to take the chance to pursue his dreams of being a star, one that he was unable to pursue in his previous life due to his lack of talent. This is the story of a man who will go on to become the most versatile and renowned superstar all over the world... and it starts, just as he takes his first step into the cutthroat world of fame and fortune by registering for the popular singing reality TV competition, 'Rising Voices'. Known to be a fiercely competitive TV show, Kyle will meet with top contestants from around the world, go up against them, level up and become better, and ultimately, battle with them for the number one spot in the show as a dark horse! --- |AUTHOR NOTE| Just wanted to make it clear, that the singing competition which will be the first arc of the novel, will end around the late twenty-ish or early thirty-ish chapters. After that, you can expect so much more from the story so look forward to it! Also, although the setting is in a parallel world, all the songs, scripts and movies (although I will draw inspiration here and there), will be originals penned by yours truly (-‿◦).

Moonlit Vows

The forest was unusually quiet that evening, its towering trees casting long shadows under the dim glow of the setting sun. Selene Rivers adjusted her scarf against the biting autumn chill, her boots crunching against the blanket of fallen leaves. She'd come to the woods for solace, hoping the isolation would help her clear her thoughts. Life in the small town of Everhollow had been far from eventful—until tonight. She hadn't planned to stay out late, but as the sun dipped below the horizon, she realized she'd wandered farther than usual. The air felt different now—heavier, as though the forest itself was holding its breath. A low growl shattered the silence. Selene froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She turned slowly, scanning the woods, but nothing stirred. Her pulse raced as she quickened her pace, her breath visible in the icy air. The growl came again, louder this time, followed by the unmistakable sound of snapping twigs. Panic surged through her veins. Selene broke into a run, weaving between the trees, her instincts screaming at her to flee. But she wasn't fast enough. A massive wolf leapt from the shadows, landing a few feet ahead of her. Its fur was jet-black, its golden eyes gleaming with predatory intent. Selene skidded to a halt, her breath hitching. The creature snarled, baring sharp teeth that glinted in the moonlight. Her mind raced. Wolves weren't supposed to be this big. This wasn't an ordinary animal—it radiated an unnatural intelligence, its gaze locked onto hers with almost human intensity. "Stay back," she whispered, though she knew it was futile. The wolf crouched, muscles coiling as it prepared to pounce. Selene closed her eyes, bracing for the worst. A deafening roar echoed through the forest, and the black wolf was suddenly thrown sideways by a blur of movement. Selene's eyes snapped open as two figures tumbled across the forest floor—a second wolf, larger and more imposing, its fur a stormy gray streaked with silver. The two beasts clashed violently, their growls shaking the air. Selene stumbled backward, her instincts urging her to run, but she couldn't tear her gaze away. The gray wolf fought with ferocity, its movements fluid and precise, as though it had been trained for this moment. After a brutal exchange of claws and teeth, the black wolf let out a pained yelp and darted into the shadows, disappearing into the depths of the forest. The gray wolf stood still, its chest heaving as it watched the retreating figure. Slowly, it turned to face Selene. She should have been terrified. But as the wolf's piercing blue eyes met hers, she felt an odd sense of calm. There was no malice in its gaze—only curiosity and something she couldn't quite place. And then it happened. Before her eyes, the wolf began to shift. Its massive frame contorted, bones cracking and reshaping, fur receding to reveal pale skin. Selene's breath caught as the creature transformed into a man.

Little Light Lord

[An Announcement from the Author: LLL will undergo major reformations! Expect a reboot of this confusing storyline sometime early January! Thank you for all of your support thus far.] Gods rule over the fundamental creations of life. Lords watch and rule over these Gods’ creations. Phos, the Lord of Light, found himself cornered by a sharpshooter in the dead of the night. This unlikely encounter led to destiny. — The marksman needed to kill a kind, beautiful man. From the photos, his target had crystalline orange eyes and glowing silver hair that cascaded down to the floor in waves. But, as with everything, the real man looked far more lucent and stunning. Like a soft light, like the first glimmer on the ocean’s surface as the Sun arose. Before he could raise his sniper’s rifle to extinguish this ray of light, however, the beautiful target pulled out a pistol and shot him straight in the abdomen. “I hope you don’t die. Good day.” With that, he swiftly turned and left, disappearing into the darkness, his long hair bouncing to his every crisp footstep. Leaving behind the confused marksman, who, dazed, clutched his new wound and slumped to the floor. Later on, the marksman managed to act stupid enough to gain his target’s trust. Showing his true colours, he toyed with a lock of his former victim’s hair, which was as silky and soft as he imagined. He held it to his lips, raised a corner of his black turtleneck to show the bulletwound on his abdomen, and whispered in a deep voice: “This wound, how will you repay it?” The original target, who shined like a dim candlelight under the rays of the moon, stretched up his bound arms to the hitman, brought a gentle hand to his skin, covered the wound… and with an unapologetic, professional business smile, he replied: “I’m sorry, are you really sure you have a scar there? How come I don’t see anything?” The marksman: … It’s because you’re covering it. The man he originally had to kill, who wore white silk pyjamas and a flame-like orange scarf every day and who looked like he could fall over with a slight push from the wind, was actually very resistant—and really, really pissed him off. The dimly lit room was cloaked in a shroud of secrecy, its walls lined with maps, photographs, and cryptic notes that spoke of unseen dangers and tangled networks. The air was thick with the scent of old paper and cigar smoke, remnants of a world where power was wielded in the shadows. In the center of the room stood a figure, his presence commanding and ominous. Ivan Petrov, the feared Russian mafia leader, was a man whose name had become synonymous with fear and control. His reputation for cruelty and cunning was legendary, and his influence extended far beyond the criminal underworld. He was a man who thrived in darkness, pulling the strings of power from behind the scenes. Petrov's gaze was fixed on a map spread out before him, dotted with various locations and coded symbols. His mind was racing, plotting the next move in a game of high-stakes manipulation and deceit. The room's dim lighting cast deep shadows on his face, emphasizing the harsh lines of his expression. "There are always new players on the board," Petrov mused, his voice a low, gravelly whisper. "And every player has a weakness to exploit." Across from him, a shadowy figure emerged from the corner, stepping into the faint light. This was not an ordinary operative; this was a figure of enigma and danger, known only by whispers and rumors. The Broker, a mysterious and elusive figure, was as much a legend as Petrov himself. Their meeting was one of necessity and mutual benefit, but the stakes were high, and trust was a currency neither could afford. "The game is changing, Petrov," The Broker said, their voice carrying a cold, calculated edge. "The dynamics are shifting, and new players are emerging. Your empire is vulnerable." Petrov's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint reflecting in them. "I am aware of the threats," he replied, his tone laced with menace. "But I have survived this long by adapting and eliminating any threat to my power. Tell me what you know." The Broker stepped closer, revealing a set of documents and photographs that detailed a series of operations and individuals connected to a new threat. These were not mere notes but a roadmap to a larger scheme—a scheme that could disrupt the delicate balance of power Petrov had worked so hard to maintain. "This," The Broker said, placing the documents on the table, "is a precursor to what could be a major upheaval. There are those who seek to challenge your position, and they are more dangerous than you might realize. We need to act swiftly and decisively." Petrov studied the documents, his mind working furiously to assess the implications. The stakes had been raised, and the threat was imminent. The world of shadows was never static; it was a realm where power constantly shifted, and the price of failure was unforgiving. "This is not a game for the faint-hearted," Petrov said, his voice taking on a tone of grim resolve. "I will deal with these new threats as I have dealt with all others. But I will need allies and information. Tell me what you require." The Broker's lips curled into a faint smile, a gesture that spoke of hidden agendas and complex alliances. "We need to ensure that we are always a step ahead. I have my own interests and resources, but we must work together to neutralize these threats. The balance of power must be preserved." As they exchanged information and forged an uneasy alliance, the room seemed to close in around them, the weight of their plans and the shadows of their past looming large. The stage was set for a new chapter in a high-stakes game of power and deception, and the consequences of their actions would reverberate through their lives and the lives of those who would become entangled in their web. Unbeknownst to them, the paths they were about to cross would set in motion a series of events that would test their resolve and shape their futures. In the shadows of their pasts and the darkness of their plans, a new narrative was beginning to unfold

Rail Star Universe

In a grand room shrouded in gloom, the dim light of an oil lamp cast faint glimmers on the black marble floor. The ornate decor created an eerie atmosphere, with shadows dancing in every corner. At the center of the room, a young man sat leisurely in a large chair. He wore a black suit paired with a white shirt, a neatly tied long tie, and matching black trousers. His black hooded cloak seemed to blend with the darkness, as if swallowing him into the mystery. His face was covered with pale white makeup like a mask, with simple lines beneath his eyes that emphasized an ominous impression. Red paint formed a faint smile on his lips and adorned his eyes, creating an unnatural contrast, evoking a disturbing yet captivating aura. This figure was known as Mr. Fool, a mysterious man whose name was feared by criminals and nobles alike in the city of Landlum. In front of him stood a young woman named Audrey, exuding elegance. She wore a high-cut noble gown adorned with lace and diamonds, radiating luxury without excess. Her intelligent and confident gaze matched the oppressive aura of the man before her, while her bright smile added a touch of warmth to the room. Their conversation was an exchange of information laced with tension. Audrey, though appearing friendly, carried the cunning of a skilled political player. With respect yet confidence, she requested Mr. Fool’s assistance in obtaining information about a nobleman named Lord Althric. In return, she offered a secret that might pique the man’s interest. Silence hung in the air as Mr. Fool listened to Audrey's offer. Beneath his eerie makeup, a faint smile formed. The man, with a calm and cold demeanor, stated that the price for any information he provided was always equal to its value. Audrey responded with nothing but a smile, unfazed even in the presence of someone so enigmatic. Their meeting was the beginning of a dangerous game, where every word spoken carried unseen risks. Beneath the polite exchange of words, they measured each other's strength, fully aware that in this world, information was the deadliest weapon.

rare connection

Life is given for free but happiness comes with a cost that many can't afford to pay. *********** Even with the dark grey clouds that hovered over the vast sky and the dim light provided by the fire torch that was on the verge of being blown off by the wind, he could still see the glimmer in her eyes. The very same glimmer that appeared in those brown eyes everytime she was happy and for some reason, tonight he was unable to resist hir urges to steal a part of her. She was still standing by the door waiting for him to leave but he had not taken more than three steps before he halted and turned. His features were darker in contrast to the white shirt that he wore and the look on his face was a predatory one. Instead of getting scared, she watched him take the three stairs that led to her room's door and he was a few inches away from her, he finally spoke up. "If there is one thing that I hate, it's having regrets and I know that I will regret if I do not do this." A part of her was confused by his words and another part felt like she knew what he meant by those words. Before she even had a chance to contemplate on what he had just said, he leaned closer, curled his index finger on her pointed chin and tilted her in an angle such that she could feel his cold breath on her face that caused a shiver to run down her spine. Like she had been hypnotized, all she could do was to stare in those obsidian eyes that had held her captive. "This is a mistake that I want to commit again and again." His breath fanned on her face and goosebumps formed on her skin. Not because of the wind, but because of the effect he had on her. If it was some time before, she would have probably pushed him away or maybe escaped but as time had passed by, her feelings towards him had changed...

Rebirth of the Nameless Immortal God

Earth has undergone an odd change. Expanding by millions of times its original size, its population was suddenly split into two halves. On one side, there was a group of technologically advanced humans. But, on the other, a world of cultivation had grown and pospered. The secrets that led to this change have been hidden in the darkness for too long... Until there came a day where a boy born on the Mortal side of the world was found to have the talent to enter the Martial side. Having lost both of his parents to a hidden tide, he chose to leave all that he had known behind and enter this land of danger. What truths would he unveil? What would he learn about what separated the Mortals from the Cultivators? What hidden evils wanted to ensure that his people never rose up and gained power? And how would those evils... deal with him? ---- This list of things I hate is quite long. The first is that I hate to be tested the most. The second is that I hate to be tested the most. The third also happens to be that I hate to be tested the most. The ocean's depths are too shallow, the sun's light too dim, the ground too mundane and the skies too small. For those born of this colorless world to deem themselves worthy of casting judgement on me... I can only say that it's laughable. I am the Nameless Immortal God because even the Heavens themselves are unworthy to name me. Even while I am unaware of my own identity, I will dry the oceans until cracked land is all that is left, I will cast the sun into endless darkness, I will shatter the ground with my feet and sunder the skies with my blade. Am I too arrogant? What right do you have to think that? --- https://discord.gg/awespec

Hyperborea

"Once upon a time..." "There was a young man named Fionn." "He was the king of the Hyperboreans, a civilization that thrived in the distant north of the world, where peace and harmony reigned beneath skies of eternal frost." "One day, during one of his habitual walks beyond the walls of his grand, crystalline castle, Fionn heard a peculiar sound—a sharp squealing that pierced the stillness of the white forest surrounding his domain." "Startled and alert, he gripped the hilt of his regal sword and followed the noise, his boots crunching softly over snow-dusted leaves. As he pushed through the pale foliage, the source of the sound revealed itself—a girl, cornered by a thur." "The creature was monstrous, towering over both the girl and Fionn himself. Its thick, gnarled skin was the color of ash, mottled with scars and patches of coarse, dark hair. A pair of jagged tusks jutted from its wide, snarling mouth, and its eyes glowed faintly, like embers in a dying fire. Long, sinewy arms ended in clawed hands that could snap trees like twigs, and its breath came out in ragged, steaming huffs, filling the air with a stench of decay." "The thur growled, advancing on the girl with a lumbering gait, its massive frame causing the ground to tremble faintly beneath its weight. Every instinct in Fionn's body screamed at him to flee, but he stood firm." "Drawing his sword in one fluid motion, the king lunged forward. With a single, decisive strike, he felled the monster, its roar silenced as it collapsed into the snow." "-Are you all right?- Fionn asked, his voice steady but gentle as he turned toward the girl." "But she didn't respond. She didn't even look at him." "Fionn frowned, puzzled by her silence. Perhaps she was too shaken by the attack to speak, he thought. Yet, something else caught his attention—something even more peculiar." "Her skin. It wasn't the pale, snowy white of the Hyperboreans. It was... pink. A soft, warm hue unlike anything he had ever seen." "-Ehm... I know this might sound a little inappropriate, but... where are you from? You don't look like anyone from here,- Fionn ventured cautiously, hoping for a reply. But still, she said nothing." "-Wait!- He suddenly realized, his eyes widening. -Could it be that you don't understand me?-" "If she didn't respond because she didn't know his language, then she couldn't be from Hyperborea—or even anywhere nearby. But where else could she be from? Beyond Hyperborea, there was only the vast, unending sea... wasn't there?" "-Could it be that she's from one of the other Nine Worl—- Fionn's thoughts were abruptly interrupted as the girl rose to her feet." "She stepped closer to him, her movements deliberate but strange, her expression unreadable. She—Oh!" ~Ronf~ ~Ronf~ ~Ronf~ "Looks like Artair is already asleep..." The mother lowered the book gently, a warm smile on her lips as she gazed at her son's peaceful face. "He must have played a lot today. I usually read him more of the story before he falls asleep..." Leaning over, she placed a soft kiss on his forehead. "Good night, my little Artair." With a quiet sigh, she tucked the blanket around him even more snugly than before, then rose from the bedside. Extinguishing the torch that lit his room, she left, closing the door behind her with care. In the dim stillness of the house, she paused, looking out through the small window at the darkened village. Her thoughts turned inward as she whispered to herself: "I hope, at least, that you'll be able to live a life free from war..."
