Christmas The Bells Are Ringing

Bell Abyss: The Corpse Falls Chronicle

Title: Abyssal Chimes Genre: Cosmic Folk Horror / Time-Bending Thriller *Synopsis:* In the fog-shrouded valley of Corpse Falls Town, where pagoda trees bleed and construction sites exhale the breath of the dead, antiques dealer Lin Moyu becomes entangled in a temporal curse older than the Ming Dynasty. When a smuggled Bronze Bell covered in corpse wax appears in his shop, its cursed chimes fracture reality, revealing three overlapping timelines: a 15th-century massacre of shaman priests, a modern archaeological expedition’s disappearance, and Lin’s own complicity in a catastrophic urban development project three years prior. As the Bell’s vibrations summon corpse soldiers from limestone caves and warp digital devices into occult artifacts, Lin discovers every victim’s skull sprouts bronze roots connecting to an underground Bone Pagoda. The town’s "residents" are revealed as echoic phantoms—their deaths endlessly reenacted through cursed objects: QR codes that rewrite memories, livestreams broadcast from decaying eyeballs, and concrete mixed with ground funerary coins. Key horrors unfold through fractal revelations: - The Bell’s Sanskrit inscriptions are quantum codes predicting Lin’s own autopsy report - Construction blueprints from 2021 contain hidden blood sacrifice diagrams - Missing archaeologists are found fused with Ming dynasty burial silks, their smartphones playing war drums from 1423 The cosmic truth emerges through temporal bleeding: Corpse Falls Town exists in a "wound" between timelines, sustained by an ouroboros of guilt. Every character is simultaneously victim and perpetrator across centuries—Lin’s father designed the dam that awakened ancient curses, while Lin himself becomes the Ming general who first ordered mass executions to silence the shamans. *Themes:* - Guilt as a self-replicating cosmic force - Technology as modern necromancy (5G towers as spirit poles, cloud storage as soul jars) - Archaeological colonialism’s cyclical violence *Closing Paradox:* In the fractal finale, Lin must let the Bell annihilate all timelines—including his own birth—to break the curse. Yet the final page reveals this manuscript itself is a cursed object, its words rearranging to implicate whoever reads it in the next cycle of atrocities. *Comp Titles:* - *Annihilation* meets *The Ring* in Guillermo del Toro’s *Pan’s Labyrinth* - *Dark (Netflix)* collides with Junji Ito’s *Uzumaki* - *The Southern Reach Trilogy* rewritten as Ming dynasty occult procedural Hook: Every technological artifact you use—from subway QR codes to wireless earbuds—becomes a gateway to ancestral horror in this narrative ouroboros where reading the book implicates you in its curse.

We are the fear

Hello everyone. I'm the creator of the horror short story collection *We Are the Fear*. For me, creating this work is like embarking on an exciting journey to explore the dark corners deep within the human soul. It's also a fantastical adventure of translating the thrilling inspirations surging in my heart into words. For a long time, the horror genre has had an irresistible appeal to me. The unknown and dangers lurking beneath the surface of daily life always stir up my boundless imagination. Many moments in life, whether it's the eerie shadow cast by an ancient building or the sudden strange sounds in the dead of night, can become the sparks for my creation, lighting the fuse of one terrifying story after another. I'm enthusiastic about excavating the most hidden and fragile parts of human nature. In my opinion, the complexity of human nature is an inexhaustible wellspring for horror stories. Everyone has seeds of fear within. It could be the fear of loneliness, the worry about loss, or the awe of unknown forces. I attempt to amplify these emotions in my works, placing them in extreme situations to showcase the diverse reactions of human nature in the face of fear. Each story in *We Are the Fear* is a painstakingly crafted crystallization of horror. I'm dedicated to creating an atmosphere that can make readers' hearts pound and send chills down their spines. Starting with environmental descriptions, I use delicate strokes to sketch out gloomy scenes, enabling readers to feel as if they're on the scene and experience the chilling sensation that rushes towards them. Then, I delve into the characters' inner worlds, depicting their psychological changes when confronted with horror, so that readers can truly empathize with the characters' fear and despair. When it comes to the narrative rhythm, I strive to achieve a proper balance. I artfully set suspense, keeping readers in a state of high tension and curiosity throughout the reading process, eager to uncover the mystery. And at appropriate times, I slow down the pace, giving readers a brief moment of respite while inadvertently planting new foreshadows to prepare for the next onslaught of fear. I hope this book can bring readers an ultimate horror experience. While reading, they can feel the excitement of an adrenaline rush, and after closing the book, they can sink into profound contemplation about human nature and the unknown. *We Are the Fear* is not merely a collection of stories; it's a testament to my love and pursuit of horror literature. I hope it can touch the unique perception of horror deep within each reader's heart.

The Ring Of Consistency

As the author of this book I should give a fair warning: the first chapters are a scam!! Okay, let me explain. The character that you most likely think is the protagonist, is not the protagonist. Why? Honestly, idk, I just felt like doing it. Makes the story feel more realistic and approachable because every character is worth something. The story follows a male lead, Ju Min-Jung, who at one point in his life was a normal middle-aged man from Korea. He gets transmigrated to a world called Einar as Lychipher Klein in which becoming quote-unquote a "god", is not just possible, but relatively common. Years have gone by in a flash and Lychipher has enjoyed a simple and laid-back life, going by the nickname of Whiskey. The story starts when a contracted guild summons the lovecraftian inspired eldritch entity known as Dietrich, which fragmented itself into several variants born from chosen women. The fragments each have the distinct feature of white hair and can be released when the variant is killed. When all the variants are killed each fragment will be fused allowing Dietrich to form in Einar. This quickly escalates into family feuds, mystery, mystism and the occult. Questions emerge perpetually the instant one is answered, mysterious forces are at work pulling the strings behind closed curtains and fate seems to be the greatest for of all.... What to expect: Firstly is the world of Einar. It's a world entirely fictional so don't try to wrap your head around the timeline because I honestly just smashed several themes that I liked together. Originally, I chose for late 16th century baroque and renaissance, but later I also added elements of the western victorian era, the wild west and more. Now the next thing to expect is probably not something you'll appreciate much, and that is slow pacing. I know, I know —you're probably screaming "whyyy!?". But it's best for the story to play out the way it should, ya' know- instead of rushing it. Besides, going for a mysterious factor demands slow pacing because otherwise the mystery is short-lived.

I was the lost one. " You don't speak or,..." . I paused as he made a step forward.         "Me, lost.....". He finally spoke. My eyes were so opened with shock, hearing his voice. He had a calm yet strict voice It was so beautiful I thought he was singing.     "OH! Sorry, I thought you were lost. Besides, If your not lost what you doing In a dark cave with a creepy glowing creature". I looked at his creature as It perched on his shoulder.         He then opens his cloak and smiles. "Pardon, but Violet Is not a creature she's a friend". I looked at him with a puzzled expression. 'Who takes a creature as a friend?'. I thought to my self.         He stepped closer again, with just two step from me. "If you knew where you are, one would know thee who speaks out to the unknown". He spoke with his hands crossed behind his back.         I looked at him confused. What did he just say?. He was giving me more questions than answers.       "I don't have time for this I need to get out of here. My sisters might be looking for me". I said as I tried looking for a way out but, the only way out was to jump back Into the dark pit.           My heart jumped Into my mouth,as I almost fell into the pit again.         "It seems this fair maiden wants to die Immediately". As he smiles with pleasure, like he was mocking me.         "Can I be of some help". He asked politely, for once. I just froze up In fright, as I was not sure of who or what he is. "Come on, I don't bite". As he smirks dubiously.         I hesitated for a while, but I finally stepped a bit closer, with our nose almost touching. It was either I follow this beautiful essence, or die here In this creepy cave.       He pulled me with one hand, as his other hand was gesturing something, like he was performing some kind of jazz or voodoo I thought. I thank God I wasn't close to the little light. Cause It was at his right shoulder.         He suddenly closes his eyes. And like that.... , we were going through the cave walls like ghosts. His other arm was placed behind his back, as he just closed his eyes like he was dead.         I just watched his gawking appearance. His shining white hair, that looked like he cleansed them In a star, his light skin with no sign of scratches, marks, he was just smoothed by just looking at him, his lips were heart shaped with glistering effect, like he uses lip gloss.         I was just jealous looking at him. He finally opened his eyes. "We're here". He alerted all forgotten me. I released my self from his hold, as I saw my sisters calling my name. I was so relieved. I turned to thank him but, he was gone. N.B Cover not mine, from Pinterest. * No rape *
