Since he was a godly being and an immortal, killing him wasn't an option. Hence, they stripped him of his immortality, sending him into the realm of humans, such that he could be killed by them. While hiding he defeated three of his classmates badly and later, heard of  an object named 'the God orb', an extremely powerful orb, that was created with energy from  'Omni God', the most powerful being in existence, by the God of magic himself . It was said to grant almost any wish one can think of. But a challenge must be done in order for the wish to be granted. Jack tried by all means and managed to win.
