Beyond Two Souls Leave The Party

The General's Wife Wants to Leave

Experiencing a suffocating marriage with the man whom she was arranged to marry made Joanna want to leave him. But it was a failure as she died as the wife of the man who abandoned her and her son before they divorced. On the verge of her death, she made a wish to not encounter him again if there was a next life. She wished for the end of their fate only in this lifetime. She wanted to forget everything about him. However, when she opened her eyes again, she found herself in the room of the mansion of the man she just married. She was awakened by a dream that seemed to be a nightmare of her past life. She didn’t remember completely everything that had occurred in her past life and the dream was fragmented. But deep inside her heart, she only felt one thing. She was adamant about leaving him, to be far away from him. Therefore, she left his mansion just before she met him in person in the present lifetime. However, what she didn’t expect was that the so-called husband pursued her, not allowing her to leave him. Would Joanna be successful in leaving the man in this lifetime? Would fate play the same tragedy as her past life? --- As he pulled his finger away from her soft, warm lips, he said, “It is good you stopped winding up, Joanna. Otherwise, I would have used the other method to make you stop blabbering over the same, boring topic endlessly.” When he noticed the stubborn woman was about to prove herself to be stubborn, the man leaned forward in a swift movement, facing the woman’s stupefied face which was an inch away from his. “Continue to blabbering, don’t blame me if I apply my other method right now,” the man murmured above her breath, trailing his gaze from her quivering eyes to her lips before moving it back to her now widened eyes. --- *Cover doesn’t belong to the author. Beyond the Firewall

In a world where technology is both a blessing and a curse, Ethan Stone is the enigmatic founder of SHIELD—a covert organization focused on global security—and the genius behind Sprint, a revolutionary auto-tech company that outshines even the most ambitious ventures of today. To the outside world, Ethan is just another tech billionaire with a mysterious past, but beneath the surface, he’s a master hacker, a fearless strategist, and a relentless force who refuses to bow to any government or authority. Ethan’s journey into the shadows began years ago when he infiltrated a secret government project experimenting on human augmentation. Although he came out of it with cybernetic enhancements that push the limits of human ability, he chose to remain fully human on the outside. His body may be altered, but his mind, spirit, and determination are unyieldingly his own. However, the digital fortress Ethan has built around his life begins to crumble when Mariam—a fiercely independent fashion designer—unexpectedly steps into his world. Initially, she’s just another civilian he’s trying to protect from his dangerous enemies. But as their bond deepens, Ethan realizes that protecting Mariam means more to him than any mission or project he’s undertaken before. She becomes the light in his otherwise dark and calculated life, reminding him of his remaining humanity. But Ethan’s enemies are ruthless, and they’ll stop at nothing to bring him down. When a shadowy figure from his past launches a series of brutal attacks, targeting Ethan and everyone he cares about, he’s forced to go on the offensive. Despite all his enhancements and strategic brilliance, he’s never faced a threat this personal. And it’s not just his life on the line—it’s Mariam’s as well. Determined to keep her safe without compromising who she is, Ethan uses his most cutting-edge technology: self-healing nanobots designed to protect her from harm without altering her humanity. As Mariam is thrust deeper into Ethan’s world of cyber warfare, mercenary armies, and covert battles, she proves time and again that she’s not just someone who needs protection—she’s his partner, his equal, and, perhaps, his greatest strength. Together, they navigate a labyrinth of secrets, betrayals, and shifting allegiances, as Ethan faces enemies old and new. As the shadowy figure continues to haunt them, Ethan must confront the question he’s been avoiding: can he truly protect Mariam without losing himself in the process? And what happens when the lines between human and machine blur beyond recognition? Beyond the Firewall is a high-stakes, action-packed saga blending elements of sci-fi, romance, and adventure. With a storyline spanning thousands of chapters, this epic series explores the price of power, the limits of technology, and the strength that comes from embracing one's humanity amidst a world where everything else can be hacked, upgraded, or controlled.

Setting souls

The two men couldn't have looked more out of place on the cold afternoon streets of New Hadepee. The first was a scrawny fellow, no taller than five foot eight, wearing a white shirt marred with ugly reddish-brown stains and a pair of plain tan pants. His companion, by contrast, carried himself with an air of quiet authority—a regal-looking man with a neatly trimmed black beard, wrapped in a great black coat with a red scarf pulled snug around his neck. "I heard the man himself has come back," the one in the stained shirt said, carefully balancing on the curb with his arms outstretched. "Oh? And where did you hear that?" his companion asked, turning his head with amusement to watch the precarious balancing act. "Welp, the sergeant major told me to go down to Olker, so I figured that could only mean he's back," the man in the white shirt replied. "Vistor has close cultural and political ties with the kingdom of Olker. Don't you think it's just a protection job?" the older man in black inquired, a hint of humor in his voice. "Oh, come on, Mang, you know they'd never give someone like me a protection job," the man in the white shirt scoffed, jumping off the curb and spinning around a lamppost. The older man—now known as Mang—came to a halt, reaching into his coat and pulling out an envelope. "Well, Tai, I suppose you're wrong." Mang handed the envelope to him. Tai peeled open the envelope, sliding out the letter and studying it carefully. "Oh wow, so Marlin is marrying the queen of those people?" he asked with a shrug. "She is not a queen. Don't let anyone call her that," Mang snapped. "And if her people weren't so damn difficult, we would have annexed them already." "So we let them succeed but not Gascon? Whose idea was that? They're more like us than those humans are," Tai said, frowning. "Gascon was willing to sell to the Emperor for a small chunk of change," Mang quipped. "The Noctrous family was not." "Ok so what's that matter, all we need is a little persuasion to change their minds? We killed the chief of Gnomandale and sent his stuffed head back to them, then they sold Gnomendale to us. All we need to do to get Olker is beat the hell out of Sylvie and she will sell." Tai folds the letter and places it back into the envelope. "Tai, the people of Vistor don't have the heart to see us beat up the Eladrin people like we did the Gnomes, and plus their Chief tramp Silvye is much too pretty for us to put her head on a stick."  "Welp, it's our loss," Tai muttered, spitting onto the sidewalk. "No, it's not. Not if Chester is back…" Tai frowned. "What's Chester gonna do?" "Last I recall, his fallout with Sylvie wasn't just a petty disagreement. Before he died, he built a fleet of ships and hid them in a cove somewhere. If he wanted revenge, all he'd need is an army." "And who the hell would fight for him?" "The same people who fight for us—the poor." This is a prequel to Then Maker, another story of mine. The writing may feel somewhat outdated compared to my more recent work, but it consists of a series of scenes that occur before the main events of the novel. The description is one of my most recent pieces, which is why it differs in style from the rest of the book.
