The Lightning’s Path
A New Start: The Introduction Lee Jae-hyun was an average man. He lived just like hundreds. Days merged into routine: he gets up, goes to work, eats, sleeps, and then the same ritual in repetition. He was yet another cog in the giant machinery of society, passing time without excitement, let alone purpose. He had no remarkable talents, no great ambitions, and no urge for any sort of change. It would thus turn life-a host of obligations to endure in one's own stead-but never to enjoy and love with exploration of self.
All changed, though, in this silent night, and so began Jae-hyun's story into the most unlikely change ever made in his life.
He was on his way home from the night shift, deeply immersed in the tedium of his thoughts, when suddenly everything blurred. A flash, a falling feeling for an instant, then. dark.
When Jae-hyun awoke, everything was different: the air heavier, the sky stretching farther than he had ever imagined, with strange, swirling energies filling the atmosphere. He was no longer in the bustling city of his past life. He was in a Murim world-a land of martial arts, sects, and mythical powers.
His mind was racing. How? Why?
But in the midst of all this chaos of his thoughts, something else stirred within him-an unfamiliar sense of purpose. He had been given a second chance, a chance to live differently, a chance to really explore life beyond the confines of his past existence.
The world he found himself in was perilous, filled with strong martial artists, mysterious sects, and untold dangers. But Jae-hyun didn't care about that. He didn't want to be a hero, nor did he want to fight for power or fame. What he wanted was to live without regrets, to experience life to its fullest-unburdened by the dull monotony of his past.
Little did he know, fate had a surprise waiting for him. No longer was he the commoner of a man; his new body, his new soul, had inherited the potential of a figure of legend-Shanks, the mighty swordsman from another world. Latent power lay dormant, waiting to be awakened, and only through industriousness and self-discipline could he truly unlock his abilities.
But there was no rush. He wasn't in a race to be the strongest. His journey would be one of growth, adventure, and exploration-to find out what truly made him feel alive.
And so, with the vast Murim world at his feet, Lee Jae-hyun set off on his journey-not to conquer it, but to live in it and find his place without regret.
