Mikasa Scarf

Moonlit Vows

The forest was unusually quiet that evening, its towering trees casting long shadows under the dim glow of the setting sun. Selene Rivers adjusted her scarf against the biting autumn chill, her boots crunching against the blanket of fallen leaves. She'd come to the woods for solace, hoping the isolation would help her clear her thoughts. Life in the small town of Everhollow had been far from eventful—until tonight. She hadn't planned to stay out late, but as the sun dipped below the horizon, she realized she'd wandered farther than usual. The air felt different now—heavier, as though the forest itself was holding its breath. A low growl shattered the silence. Selene froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She turned slowly, scanning the woods, but nothing stirred. Her pulse raced as she quickened her pace, her breath visible in the icy air. The growl came again, louder this time, followed by the unmistakable sound of snapping twigs. Panic surged through her veins. Selene broke into a run, weaving between the trees, her instincts screaming at her to flee. But she wasn't fast enough. A massive wolf leapt from the shadows, landing a few feet ahead of her. Its fur was jet-black, its golden eyes gleaming with predatory intent. Selene skidded to a halt, her breath hitching. The creature snarled, baring sharp teeth that glinted in the moonlight. Her mind raced. Wolves weren't supposed to be this big. This wasn't an ordinary animal—it radiated an unnatural intelligence, its gaze locked onto hers with almost human intensity. "Stay back," she whispered, though she knew it was futile. The wolf crouched, muscles coiling as it prepared to pounce. Selene closed her eyes, bracing for the worst. A deafening roar echoed through the forest, and the black wolf was suddenly thrown sideways by a blur of movement. Selene's eyes snapped open as two figures tumbled across the forest floor—a second wolf, larger and more imposing, its fur a stormy gray streaked with silver. The two beasts clashed violently, their growls shaking the air. Selene stumbled backward, her instincts urging her to run, but she couldn't tear her gaze away. The gray wolf fought with ferocity, its movements fluid and precise, as though it had been trained for this moment. After a brutal exchange of claws and teeth, the black wolf let out a pained yelp and darted into the shadows, disappearing into the depths of the forest. The gray wolf stood still, its chest heaving as it watched the retreating figure. Slowly, it turned to face Selene. She should have been terrified. But as the wolf's piercing blue eyes met hers, she felt an odd sense of calm. There was no malice in its gaze—only curiosity and something she couldn't quite place. And then it happened. Before her eyes, the wolf began to shift. Its massive frame contorted, bones cracking and reshaping, fur receding to reveal pale skin. Selene's breath caught as the creature transformed into a man.

Little Light Lord

[An Announcement from the Author: LLL will undergo major reformations! Expect a reboot of this confusing storyline sometime early January! Thank you for all of your support thus far.] Gods rule over the fundamental creations of life. Lords watch and rule over these Gods’ creations. Phos, the Lord of Light, found himself cornered by a sharpshooter in the dead of the night. This unlikely encounter led to destiny. — The marksman needed to kill a kind, beautiful man. From the photos, his target had crystalline orange eyes and glowing silver hair that cascaded down to the floor in waves. But, as with everything, the real man looked far more lucent and stunning. Like a soft light, like the first glimmer on the ocean’s surface as the Sun arose. Before he could raise his sniper’s rifle to extinguish this ray of light, however, the beautiful target pulled out a pistol and shot him straight in the abdomen. “I hope you don’t die. Good day.” With that, he swiftly turned and left, disappearing into the darkness, his long hair bouncing to his every crisp footstep. Leaving behind the confused marksman, who, dazed, clutched his new wound and slumped to the floor. Later on, the marksman managed to act stupid enough to gain his target’s trust. Showing his true colours, he toyed with a lock of his former victim’s hair, which was as silky and soft as he imagined. He held it to his lips, raised a corner of his black turtleneck to show the bulletwound on his abdomen, and whispered in a deep voice: “This wound, how will you repay it?” The original target, who shined like a dim candlelight under the rays of the moon, stretched up his bound arms to the hitman, brought a gentle hand to his skin, covered the wound… and with an unapologetic, professional business smile, he replied: “I’m sorry, are you really sure you have a scar there? How come I don’t see anything?” The marksman: … It’s because you’re covering it. The man he originally had to kill, who wore white silk pyjamas and a flame-like orange scarf every day and who looked like he could fall over with a slight push from the wind, was actually very resistant—and really, really pissed him off. A kiss to the devil

“Now, I think we must -” A pair of sumptuous lips abruptly silenced his words, capturing his mouth out of the blue. Feminine hands held his nape, pulling him closer. Kian stood rooted in place, shocked and unable to process what was happening. Just as he realized he was being kissed by an unknown girl in the midst of his most important business meeting, he heard his elderly client rebuking him for unprofessional behavior. “What kind of unprofessional behavior is this, Mr. Wilson? Did you invite us here for a display of your scandals?” the old man roared, forcefully pounding his walking stick on the floor. His assistant beside him shook his head disapprovingly at the scene. With a sudden burst of force, Kian pushed the girl away, causing her to stumble to the ground. “Mr. King, I apologize for the disturbance. But it’s not what it looks like,” Kian said politely, attempting to conceal the incident. “Save your justifications, Mr. Wilson!” Mr. King scowled, his teeth clenched in anger. Meanwhile, the girl stood up and reached out for him once more. This time, as Kian saw her, he recognized her face as the scarf she had used to cover herself was slightly pushed aside, revealing her blue eyes to him. Anger surged within him, but before he could utter a word, she surprised him yet again. “Baby, I know you’re angry, but please give me a chance,” she pleaded, her voice almost on the verge of tears as she cupped his face. Kian widened his eyes in shock. “What are you saying?” Her behavior left him bewildered. Meanwhile, growing tired of their drama, Mr. King clicked his tongue in annoyance. “The deal is off, Mr. Wilson. Call people for business meetings when you have time between your scandals and affairs.” With that curt remark, the elderly man exited the elite restaurant, followed by his assistant. Snapping out of his shock, Kian attempted to chase after them but failed as the elderly man walked briskly and quickly left the restaurant. Enraged, he turned around and shot a murderous glare at the girl. Grabbing her forcefully, the infuriated man made a vow. “You wanted a chance, right? Well, I’ll ensure you regret that chance every single day of your entire life.” ***** Running away to save herself from the goons sent by the man her uncle forced her to marry, Ariana chose a path that would lead her further into hell rather than rescue. On chilly winter nights, she dared to disrupt the CEO of her company and interrupt his most important meeting, unaware of the greater havoc awaiting her life—Kian Wilson, the devil of the business world! Kian was caught off guard by the sudden intrusion during his meeting, resulting in a tremendous loss. The failure of that deal put his hard-earned position as CEO in jeopardy. He faced backlash from his family and the company’s board members, threatening the loss of everything he had worked for. All of this transpired because of a blue-eyed girl who bore responsibility for his crumbling situation. He vowed to seek revenge on her for the catastrophe he had endured, even if it meant risking his most precious possession—his freedom!

It was a gray day outside and the town’s hospital looked gloomy in the later afternoon light. Somewhere a storm was gathering, but only a small cloud had scattered some raindrops lightly, causing a cold rush of air into the reception where a little black curly haired boy wearing a black leather jacket, a purple scarf, and black pants stood staring in the direction of a ward room with a confused expression, his deep, blue eyes was looking tired and worn. What’s going on? His ten years old brain couldn’t register the happenings around him and he felt like he was in a mystery movie. The last thing he remembered was being forced out of sleep by his nanny and she telling him that his mum needed to see him. But where is his mum? He turned around to look at his nanny, she was watching him with a blank but soft eyes, her face pale. “Nanny.”he called in a thin voice and she smiled faintly. “Come here big boy.”she opened her arms wide for a hug, her protective eyes not leaving his face. “I can bet on it that you are hungry.”she joked, trying to make him laugh but the little boy said nothing. He merely casted his eyes downward as he walked towards her, sliding to a stop when he heard the creaking sound of a door opening. He quickly turned in the direction and saw a doctor in a white lab coat emerge from the ward room. His face brightened instantly and his eyes lit up as his mouth broke into a smile.”Dad.”he raced over to the doctor and hugged him tightly. He had never been so happy to have his dad around, he needed someone to explain this mystery to him. “Hey chap.”the doctor’s voice sounded tired. He slowly disengaged from the hug and stepped back. “Why are you here?” He whispered through lips that did not move. “Mom,”the little boy blinked, raising up to him his eager face, “I came to see mum. Where is she?” The doctor, his father made a guttural noise deep in his throat, swallowed hard, and finally spoke. “Your mum is……Your mum is………..”A waterfall of sweat began to pour down his face and his breaths came in short gasps. Your mum is dead! How the hell was he gonna tell him that? Gosh! He had no ready answers. “Did she make it?” His son’s nanny voice jerked him out of his troubled thoughts and he moved his gaze to her, she was standing right behind his son and was staring at him with huge brown eyes incredibly sad. He shook his head slowly, too scared to utter the word. “And the baby?” The nanny felt her lips quivering, heard her voice cracking. “We lost both of them.”Tears welled up in the doctor eyes and he turned his face away so his son wouldn’t see it. “Take him out of here.” He croaked and walked away with his head hanging low. The nanny squeezed the upper part of her nose between thumb and index finger, blinking her eyes to stop the burning tears. “Let’s go home child.”she reached out to clasp the
