In the shadowed city of Nyx, where ancient mysteries slumber and whispers of dark realms echo through the alleys, the young inspector Elior bears a unique curse: the Mark, a symbol binding him to the realm of Myrmidia—a place where shadows hold power and whispers breed nightmares. Bound by an ancient pact, Elior belongs to the ranks of the "Tethered," those who exist between worlds, capable of wielding Myrmidia's otherworldly forces but forever at risk of losing themselves to the darkness.
When a string of strange disappearances stirs the city, Elior finds himself on the trail of a looming, unseen adversary who wields powers disturbingly familiar to his own. Haunted by phantasms and drawn ever closer to Myrmidia’s seductive call, Elior must venture deeper into the city’s mysteries, navigating secrets that lead back to his own ancestors, guardians of the original pact. Yet, the more he uncovers, the closer he drifts to losing his soul entirely to the very shadows he controls.
In a world where night-watchers, bell-strikers, and patrolling guardians face unseen horrors each night, Elior must decide: Will he uphold his oath to protect Nyx, or surrender to the vast, untamed powers within himself and become a legend of the shadows he has sworn to contain?
