ZARQA

Dive back in time, to the depths of the desert, and watch the old stories unfold before your eyes. A story of treasure hunting, betrayal, and destiny. When a gruesome future is all you see, how can you change it? When you're foretold to fail, how should you move on? Zarqa, the girl who saw beyond time, sought to find answers. -------------------------- Legend says that Zarqa had sharp eyes that could look far away in the distance. But what if that wasn’t the end of it, what if her eyes were seeing far beyond not only space, but time? What if Zarqa was blessed with a prophecy, one that could save her dying village from destruction? Just as they thought they had no way to survive, Zarqa learns of a way to protect her village from demolition. Naturally, no one believed her, for no one but the Almighty could see beyond the present. They forgot the Almighty offers knowledge to those whom he deems of worth. And Zarqa was one of them. Having to trudge an arduous path and go through a great adventure, Zarqa seeks to find the solution to all of their problems, a treasure said to have the power to change all. Pitted against magical traps and the mysteries of the deserts, she finds unexpected company in Ali Baba, the poor kid with the sticky fingers, and his crow Morjana... -------------------------- This is my first original long story here and is also a WSA 2024 Entry. eclipse of the supreme

Synopsis In a cosmos where realities intertwine, chaos stirs. The Ethereal Stream, the cosmic force binding the multiverse, is faltering, and supreme beings gifted with unimaginable powers are the only hope of salvation. Enter Xion Veritas, an ordinary individual thrust into a world of gods and titans when they are bonded with the core of the Ethereal Stream, unlocking the limitless power of the Omni-Weaver. With the ability to rewrite time, reshape dimensions, and summon forces beyond comprehension, Xion is both savior and destroyer. Guided by the Luminary Vanguard—a group of supreme warriors—Xion learns to wield their abilities while navigating alliances, betrayals, and ancient rivalries. But as the Vanguard faces Nexus Riven, the Void Sovereign bent on unraveling existence, and Taran Vulcan, a brute of unstoppable strength, Xion must confront the ultimate question: Can ultimate power exist without ultimate destruction? In a universe on the brink of collapse, Xion must become the master of their power—or its victim. --- Chapter 1: Awakening the Weaver A storm unlike any seen before swept through the skies of Erythrea. Lightning rippled in streaks of violet and gold, cracking open the very fabric of reality. In a quiet village nestled within the Valley of Echoes, Xion Veritas woke to the sound of the earth itself groaning. Xion rubbed their temples, disoriented by the nightmares that had plagued them for weeks. Dreams of collapsing stars, screaming voids, and worlds crumbling into ash. They dismissed it as exhaustion—until today. The air shimmered unnaturally outside their home. When Xion stepped onto the cobblestone path, they froze. A fissure of light split the sky, revealing a swirling maelstrom of energy that radiated power. From within the chasm descended a figure cloaked in shifting colors, its form indistinct but its presence overwhelming. “You are chosen,” the figure’s voice resonated, echoing both within and outside Xion’s mind. “Chosen for what?” Xion asked, their voice trembling. “To restore balance—or destroy it.” Before Xion could respond, the figure extended a hand, and an orb of pulsating energy appeared. It floated toward Xion, seeping into their chest. Pain unlike anything they’d ever felt wracked their body as their veins glowed with streams of liquid light. Their vision blurred, and they collapsed. --- When Xion awoke, they were no longer in the village. They stood in a crystalline chamber, suspended in a void of stars. A woman clad in golden armor stood before them, her hair blazing like the sun. “I am Aurelia Vex,” she said, her voice commanding yet not unkind. “You are the new Weaver. The power you’ve inherited comes with a responsibility you cannot escape.” “Why me?” Xion asked, their voice barely a whisper. “The Ethereal Stream chose you. Whether you are ready or not is irrelevant. The multiverse is fracturing, and Nexus Riven seeks to shatter it entirely.” Aurelia gestured, and the chamber transformed. Xion saw glimpses of Nexus Riven, a shadowy figure with hollow eyes, draining entire worlds of their essence. They saw Taran Vulcan punching through planets as if they were paper, and Eris Cindral engulfing entire cities in firestorms of wrath. “This is too much,” Xion muttered, shaking their head. “You think I didn’t feel the same?” Aurelia said, stepping closer. “But you have no choice. The Ethereal Stream has bonded with you. If you fail to control it, the power will destroy you—and everything you love.” Xion clenched their fists. “Then teach me.” --- The days turned to weeks as Aurelia, along with her team—Kael Myrren, the shadow-wielding strategist, and Zynra Aegis, the indestructible warrior—trained Xion. They taught them to summon barriers of light, manipulate the flow of time, and weave the threads of reality itself. But every step forward came with a cost. Each time Xion tapped into the Ethereal Stream, they felt a piece of themselves slipping away
