A Regatta Is A Competition In This Sport

A spy's life is a lie

I dashed passed a large tree merely avoiding crashing into it and risking getting caught. If only I had brought my motorcycle along with me, I would've been out of here as quickly as I got in. I continued running taking random turns trying my best to shake the men off my trail. I made a daring turn into a narrow path only to make an abrupt stop- It was a dead end!. 'Why does this almost always happen?' I thought, now extremely annoyed. I hurriedly began surveying my environment, desperately looking for any way to escape. I had to think of something or who knows what they'd do to me if I was caught but how in the world do you escape a dead end? Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot echoed in my ears sending a rushing gust of adrenaline through my veins and soon after came the sound created by the impact of the bullet on the wall ahead of me. 'Damn it!' I hissed, I'd been caught. I raised my hands above my head and slowly turned around to face them. I gave an awkward smile at five men who were all pointing their guns at me. The man in the middle with an expression harsh enough to give anyone the creeps spoke up "Give us the flash or die!". Everything about his voice expressed nothing but a thirst for murder and blood lust. ~~~~~~ I bet you're all wondering how I ended up in something as surreal as this, so why don't I start from the beginning. My parents were your classic run-off-the-mill romcom couples. Their love literally knew no bound. It was always something special the kind you'd rarely see in real life and probably only see in story books and fantasies. They got married and a year later had me...and my twin brother Luca. My parents were rich so, Luca and I grew up comfortable, wrapped and shielded by the warmth of our parents unbreakable love. Everything seemed perfect, but who would have known that perfection could be easily broken. All it took to destroy our perfect lives was one unfortunate, bloody night. I woke up to the sounds of gunshots, panicked I got out of bed and dashed out of my room to follow the sounds and figure out what in the world was going on. I spotted Luca coming out of his room too, no doubt it was the noise that woke him up too. I ran down the stairs of our villa and entered the living room which seemed to be the source of the noise. I stopped dead in my tracks at the most horrifying sight. That was when my world shattered. My dad laid wounded on the floor and my mom had just been shot right in front of my eyes. I collapsed on the floor and screamed. The masked assassins looked up sparing me a few quick glances before escaping through the now shattered windows. Everything else that happened was a blur. Before I knew it we were at the hospital and a few months later, our lives were back to what seemed like our new normal. Luca and I went back to school, all our damaged properties along with all our security guards had been replaced and dad went back to work. We were all devastated when we lost mom and we all tried to move on and look towards the future, well all of us... except dad. He was crushed and he threw himself deep into work. He barely ever slept, always stayed in his room and quickly lost interest in raising us-we practically didn't exist to him anymore. So Luca, being older twin raised the both of us giving me all the parental attention I needed for 4years . Luca and I graduated high school and got an amazing job offer from our uncle-Mark. All we had to do was pass a test and the job was ours but I can't tell you what the test was, that part's confidential and if I told you... I'd have to eliminate you. In Summary, Luca and I passed the test and we're now undercover SPIES! It's the real deal. ***** This story is about the adventures of Andrea and her three best friends but it focuses more on Andrea's side of the story. Having growing up in a loving family, she finds it hard to believe that all she has grown to believe is a lie. She discovers that truly everything is not as it seems as it seems.

This is the life of a girl who wants to be a lady in a rocking chair

When I awoke, I was in a place that wasn’t my room. silk pillow beneath my head, and rich tapestries hanging on the walls. I tried to sit up, but my body felt heavy, like it wasn’t mine. I had somehow been reincarnated into a body—the third daughter of the Marquis?! life as the third daughter of the Marquis family was peaceful. Nothing extraordinary ever happened. I spent my days in the comfort of my family's estate, away from the hustle and bustle of court life. My father, though distant, provided for us, and my sisters—while not always the most agreeable—had their own lives to focus on. I was content, living quietly, with no desire for anything more. That is, until I stumbled upon a book. A beautiful cheap novel that talks about a main character who is trying to survive. But I never imagined that the world I read about would collide with my own life. One evening, my father summoned us all to the drawing room. His tone was unusually serious, and the moment I entered, I could feel the tension in the air. He stood at the center, his gaze fixed on something—or someone—I couldn’t see yet. “I have an illegitimate daughter,” he announced, his voice steady but with a hint of something else beneath it. I froze. The words barely registered at first. But then, as he continued, I realized something that made my heart race. The girl he spoke of, this Aorbel, matched the description from the novel I’d read to the smallest detail. “Her name is Aorbel,” my father continued, “and due to the circumstances, she will now be recognized in society as my daughter.” I watched as a delicate figure stepped forward—a girl with platinum blonde hair that shimmered with a faint pinkish hue, and amber eyes ! she appeared. She was small, fragile-looking, her body almost too delicate to belong in such an imposing space. But it was the way she spoke that caught me off guard. "H-hello..." she stuttered, her voice trembling slightly as she introduced herself. "I-It's nice to m-meet you all... M-my name is Aorbel." The name echoed in my mind, and I felt my pulse quicken. Aorbel—the heroine of the novel. I had read about her, followed her story. She was the one who was shunned, rejected, and Her sisters are going to die! Literally! Over some bullshit! Aorbel was real. And worse, her fate was tied to mine. I remembered the novel’s ending. Aorbel’s sisters would all perish!. *I* would perish. Suddenly, the quiet life I had built for myself felt like it was slipping through my fingers. I wasn’t about to sit by and wait for a fate I’d already read about. So, I did what I thought was the only logical thing: I ran. I fled to the countryside, to the village of Hayat, where no one would know my name or my family. There, I lived a quiet life—just like I had always wanted. I had no titles, no expectations. I could finally breathe. But even in the peace of Hayat, trouble had a way of finding me! RIGHT? ............ but...why..i'm here ? , I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the absurdity of it all. How had my life become so tangled with these nobles, these politics? When I stood before the king, I kept my composure. “It is my duty, Your Majesty,” I said, trying to maintain the calm facade I had perfected. But inside, my mind was racing. *This wasn’t supposed to happen. I just wanted a peaceful life!* The king smiled , but there was an unsettling gleam in his eyes. “Your service has been invaluable, Lady Kevoyal Orilord,” he said, as if my life had been part of some grand design all along. I wanted to scream, to tell him that I had no interest in titles, in recognition, in any of it. But there I stood, accepting the medal, caught in a web of fate I had never wanted. ! SOMONE PLEASE SAVE ME ! And so, the girl who only wanted a quiet life in a rocking chair found herself tangled in something much more complicated than she had ever imagined!!!!

This Protagonist Is A Bit Sick!

Liu Xun has lived a tough life for the past 25 years but he never complained about his hardships. However. When he was suddenly brought into a cultivation romance novel after he had just received his hard-earned promotion he finally lost it. "F*ck! Laozi was such a model citizen, Why are you doing this to Laozi?!" To make matters worse, both protagonists were cold-blooded murderers, especially the male lead, Wan Yu who was a bit of a psycho. He seemed to be at odds with everyone and enjoyed torturing people, especially the big villain, Wu Jing who was particularly miserable at the end. And he just happened to be that Wu Jing. Liu Xun: vomit blood jpg. Fortunately, every cloud has a silver lining and this new life of his is not beyond saving yet. Filled with determination, Liu Xun swore not to cross paths with the protagonists and lay low as an Outer disciple. Unfortunately, Heaven seemed to have another plan for him. Liu Xun put on an unfriendly face and turned to glare at a certain little boy, "Why are you following me?" The little boy timidly spoke, "... Can't I stay with you?" Liu Xun immediately replied, "No." Even though he decided not to be involved with him, as a normal grownup adult he still couldn't turn a blind eye toward the child abuse in the end. As a result, he ended up helping the little male protagonist a few more times. After some time passed, looking at the fair-faced harmless little boy, Liu Xun tiredly sighed like an old father. Never mind, I will raise him during my stay as the Heavenly Sect's Outer disciple and we will go on our ways in the future. Unbeknownst to him, in a place where he couldn't see, the little boy's eyes turned cold while silently observing him. Wan Yu who came back to the past a while ago dangerously narrowed his eyes. Who is this person? ... Should I just kill him? After some time passed, looking at this not-so-bright and foolish person, Wan Yu pinched the space between his eyebrows and gave an almost inaudible sigh. Nevermind. As long as this guy doesn't betray him he is willing to take him under his wings. A comedy-romance story with a model citizen (?) transmigrator shou x a black lotus reborn gong, no dog-blood drama. The cover doesn't belong to me. Everything is fictional and shouldn't be taken seriously.
