We cooked the breakfast in peace and tranquillity, so focused on the process to not even chit-chat in between. Or probably it was just me, too gone in the process of cooking to notice his stare on me. "Hikari..." "Yeah?" I don't look up from the bowl I'm mixing batter in, until I feel his presence right behind me. His hands began crawling up my arms, I let go of the bowl, and he turns me around. "Yes Taehyung?" a smirk forms on the corner of his lips and a shiver goes down my spine, this couldn't be good. "Up." Up? What could that possibly mean? Then it strikes me, I feel his hands wrapping around my waist, he wants me to sit on the kitchen counter. So I jump instinctively. I bit my lip out of habit, while he spreads my legs and walks forward, leaving no space between us. "Unbutton my shirt." I was hesitant but my hands followed his demands unwilling to upset him. My fingers were trembling against his buttons, his constant gaze upon me following each action of mine rendered me diffident. God why won't my hands stay calm, I strived hard to unbutton his fourth button when his hands engulfed mine and I bit my lip as he made me look up at him. "My turn."  My eyes widened on realisation as his hands swiftly reached the hem of my shirt. As Kamui STAR had been ravaged with seeming civil wars—dubbed Hougu Wars—cyclically occurring every few decades, all in pursuit of these magical treasures by all sorts of groups, certain characters grapple with their presence, one of them coming across a sentient sword claiming to be a Sacred Hougu. The Wars would soon begin and they’d find themselves unable to keep their distance, choosing sides for better or worse. This is a TTRPG turned novel featuring 7 protagonists, with the 8th to come in Act 2, using the system of Tokyo NOVA. Never-ending parade of new doctors and specialists was his normality. Slow loss of muscle control and pain were like constant background buzz. All this was irritating but easy to get used to in the long run. What really led him to ending things was the face of his mother. With each new treatment ending with a failure and sometimes with even more rapid decline. His mother's eyes were becoming a little bit more empty. With every day she had to observe her son slowly waste away. Her face became a little bit more worn. Once beautiful and cheerful women from his memories, become a shell of herself. Last straw that broke Camel back was overheard conversation between his mother and doctor. According to recent lab results his muscles were atrophying with such speed that it was a matter of mere days when his limbs stop working, leaving him unable to even scratch the itch, let alone take care of his daily needs. He knew his mother. She for sure without batting even an eye would take on this new role of caretaker, tending to him with wholehearted dedication. But he couldn't let her carry this burden. This was too much for a single mother to handle. So he convinced the doctor to perform euthanasia on him in secret. Mum will think her only son died from complications brought on by a lifelong disease but he passed away in his sleep, peacefully without the pain. This will soften the blow, at least he hopes so.
