However, a scientist warns of an even more devastating imminent threat: insects, organized and cruel, will mutate in turn. To counter this imminent threat, humans begin to study the beasts and learn to cultivate Mana like them. Mana exercises are created to accelerate this process and copy some of the characteristics, but changing exercises is difficult and risky. A few days ago, I was just a rookie journalist sipping coffee and working on an article about the latest scandal involving the President of the Starstruck Firm. Then the ground shook, walls cracked, and everything around me fell apart. After nearly a week trapped under the wreckage, I was miraculously saved, though my savior was a jerk—Han Yihong. His first words? Not comfort, but a cold, “Will you get up right away, or should I bury you under it?” Things only got worse with Momo, my short-tempered, egg-shaped guide, who sneered, [ I'm so unlucky to be the guide of a foolish and pathetic human like you] [Don’t touch me, you imbecilic human!] Now, stuck in a stupid, system dominated like world, I have to rely on this arrogant team to survive—endless insults and endless death encounters and all—as I face deadly scenarios and uncover what I’m truly capable of.
