My Inkbound Devil
In a modern, urban world where the celestial and infernal realms secretly shape mortal existence, Asuriel has always considered herself an ordinary woman with a passion for mixing drinks... and perhaps a bit superstitious. But as her twenty-fifth birthday approaches, everything changes. Powerful abilities hidden deep beneath the surface since childhood finally begin to burst through, revealing her cursed heritage – which marks her as both a miracle and an abomination.
Unbeknownst to both parties, a beastly devil named Vaerion Sinclair—the charismatic and ruthless CEO of one of the largest business conglomerates—has been tied to her since she was young by her strange abilities. Now, having been awoken, the bond they share is activated – both physically and mentally. Being forced to share dreams and stay within 10 feet of a stranger 24/7 is troublesome, to say the least.
As these new, unbridled powers threaten to tear her apart, she discovers that, if she wants to survive, she has to unravel the mystery of her origins and the prophecy tied to her bloodline. Her body has turned into a ticking time bomb. Alongside Vaerion, who is obligated to help out of the selfish desire to preserve his own life, the pair uncovers threads of lies, betrayal, and forbidden love that could ignite a war between the celestial and infernal realms.

Not even ten minutes ago, Asuriel had been shivering on the living room floor, in tears out of fear of her deteriorating body. When Vaerion told her he knew what would make her feel better, she hadn’t expected this.
“A motorcycle ride? Seriously?” Asuriel asked incredulously. “How’s this supposed to help?”
“Are you scared?” Vaerion ignored her confusion and answered her with a question of his own, his deep voice muffled slightly by the helmet he wore.
Asuriel sniffled, swallowing the remnants of her emotional breakdown. In contradiction to the nervousness she felt boiling in her stomach, she scoffed, “Of course not.”
“A shame,” the devil chuckled, a hint of mischief in his tone. “Let’s fix that.”
“Wh-”
Before Asuriel could ask what he meant, the motorcycle’s engine roared to life, and inertia sent her body backward. She instinctively jumped forward and tightened her grip on the man’s waist.
If only she could see the victorious smirk that her action elicited from Vaerion.
The sounds of the bike reverberated deep in her chest, making a home in her ribcage. The pair flew through the night, passing cars and buildings so quickly that it all looked like multicolored streaks of light rushing by. Her heartbeat soared as adrenaline and fear filled her bloodstream.
As they rode out of the city, Vaerion spoke to her through their mind-link, his tone possessive, “Your fear is mine to evoke. Don’t you dare cry again – unless I’m the one to make you.”
