Evil Occultist

It's not easy being an evil CULT LEADER! Impulsive and charismatic beginner occultist Ted tries to murder someone with a forbidden spell and instead gets the attention of a hostile sun god. The only way Ted can shake off the influence of the divine being and avoid being absorbed is to perform a sacrifice - ten thousand souls, and they have to be willing. While Ted has no problems getting some poor sods to give up their souls for free, ten thousand is still quite a number and he decides to form his cult somewhere safer than his own homeland: the FIN, a great island in the cold, dark south where the sun god is weakened for half of the year. Ted needs to fight for dominance during his race to control the population of the Fin - first in order to get the technology needed to push through the unnatural storms that have plagued the ocean around the island, then in order to actually get the people to support his evil, insane, self-serving cause. He recruits people left and right, charming them with his silvery tongue and charisma, but there seems to be a conspiracy against him. Someone wants Ted dead, and it is not the hungry god of sun. Ted is not alone, though - his best friend, Eknie, is like a rabid yet loyal dog. She will stop at nothing to get Ted to share his life with her, but Eknie, the diplomatic bard lady from the Great Eastern Kingdom, is a benevolent stalker. Probably. Mostly. She arranges a meeting with someone who can invent a machine that will get the cult to the Fin in no time at all: the genius engineer and scientist, Madorn. He isn't cheap labor, of course... The sun god is nothing like Ted would have imagined. Always breathing down on his neck once the dreaded morning comes, its intrusive and sinister ways make him fear daylight. The god can make him its slave if it is not pleased with the regular sacrifices, and this ends up in Ted creating an army of ZOMBIES. The world of Ad Rath is in the middle of a technological revolution. Steam is utilized in all forms of transport - steam cars, steam trains, whatever one can imagine, it probably runs on steam. There is potential for more, though - the southern islands have been simmering inside a megastorm for years and supplies are running low in the barren land of the Fin. To travel all the way down to the cold and uncomfortable South from the safety of the Kingdom of Sennas with its luxury and degeneracy would be a punishment for most. IMPORTANT: The MC is intentionally selfish and evil, causing misfortune and hurt wherever he goes. The other characters are not much better. Don't like, don't read. Mostly, though, Ted is just saving his own skin and gathering wealth, and being evil just for the sake of doing bad things. Don't expect a virtuous hero here. ALSO IMPORTANT: This is a sequel-ish to Water Belongs to the Dead: Heart of the Witch, set 100 years after the end of WBttD:HotW. While it is not needed to read it to understand Evil Occultist, giving it a look can help you familiarize yourself with the world. Love it, hate it, tell me in the comments anyway, vote, make me work even harder. discord link finally. it's an actual functioning server afaik: https://discord.gg/tmeZKG5dqT

"Chronicles of Wyrtt: The Alchemist's Odyssey"

In a world where goblin tribes are known for their savage and warlike ways, "The Alchemical Misfit: Memoirs of Wyrtt" tells the extraordinary tale of Wyrtt, a goblin who defied his violent culture to embark on a unique journey of self-discovery. Born into the Bloody Fangs tribe, Wyrtt's life takes an unexpected turn when, during a rite of passage, he flees his tribe rather than participate in a violent raid on a human village. Alone in the harsh wilderness, Wyrtt's survival instincts kick in, and he discovers an unusual cult of misfit alchemists and occultists who accept him as one of their own. Wyrtt's insatiable curiosity and intellectual prowess lead him to master multiple languages and delve into the world of alchemy, all while wrestling with his dual nature—a goblin by birth but yearning to embrace the culture of humans. This internal conflict deepens as he joins the enigmatic Society of adventurers, a diverse group with guilds scattered across the world. Eight years of rigorous training with the Society test Wyrtt's mettle and strengthen his bonds with fellow adventurers. His path is marked by challenges that force him to confront his identity and the society's prejudices against goblins. As he grapples with his drug habit—a coping mechanism to bridge his dual identity—the climax of the story sees Wyrtt and his comrades facing a monumental crisis. Throughout the book, a historian narrates Wyrtt's memoirs, providing context and insight into the goblin's life, his struggles, and the broader societal issues at play. Themes of identity, acceptance, and the power of knowledge weave through the narrative. "The Alchemical Misfit: Memoirs of Wyrtt" culminates with Wyrtt's graduation from the Society, symbolizing his transformation from an outcast goblin to a respected alchemist and adventurer. The historian reflects on the significance of Wyrtt's memoirs and their lessons in a world where acceptance and knowledge can transcend boundaries. This book is a tale of resilience, self-discovery, and the enduring power of intellect in a world where appearances can be deceiving. Wyrtt's journey challenges societal norms and highlights the value of individuality and understanding in a diverse and ever-changing world.

The Day The World Turned

Half a century ago, humanity faced an unfathomable menace known as the "Turned." These grotesque beings emerged from the shadowy depths of the unknown, their forms twisted and elongated, their skin an abyssal black. They possessed unnaturally long limbs ending in razor-sharp claws, and their featureless faces concealed a maw of flesh-rending teeth. Their eerie movements were accompanied by a spine-chilling cacophony of cackles and clicks. However, what set them apart from all other horrors was their eerie invisibility to the naked eye. The first recorded sightings of these monstrosities occurred in a remote town steeped in occult practices. Rumors whispered that the town's occultists were the architects of this calamity, that they had unwittingly ushered these abominations into our world from the enigmatic realm known as the Abra. Little did they know that they had unshackled a hellish nightmare upon the planet, one that would sow chaos and devastation on an unprecedented scale. In the beginning, humanity was ill-equipped to confront this inexplicable threat. The Turned were stronger and faster, wielding the terrifying powers of the Abra. Lives were lost in droves. But the governments of the world could not stand idly by as their cities crumbled and populations dwindled. Over years of relentless experimentation, scientists embarked on the audacious task of reshaping humanity to confront the Turned. Through the fusion of genetics and the manipulation of DNA, they forged a new breed of humans known as "Cadabra" — gifted with the extraordinary ability to pierce the veil of the unseen world, to glimpse into the very heart of the Abra. As time passed, the world descended further into the abyss of dystopia. Countless Cadabra and ordinary humans alike perished in the unending battle against the Turned. But eventually, a breakthrough came. A select few among the human population could now harness the power of the Abra, bridging the gap between themselves and the Turned. The playing field was finally leveled. Yet, the war rages on, the world teetering on the brink of darkness, as the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. This story follow our main character known as "Drake Cadabra" a young man fated to destroy the Turned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I DO NOT OWN THE ART FOR THIS COVER!
